It’s still frustrating and sucks you had to deal with it. They should have those hinges in the same spot. But also I’m glad it’s not just me that this stuff happens to.

Have you ever had to put a curve on the 2nd servo to really REALLY accurately follow the first servo throughout the entire throw? (The Comp-Arf Ailerons are set up just like your rudder... and I never did bother putting one servo on a curve to match... seems like if you get the center, endpoint low rate, and end point high rate to match.. it is all good)

@@mithrandir1313 I like to do it mechanically with the protractor. Having both servos move the exact same number of degrees left and right to have the rudder move the exact amount left and right.

@@mithrandir1313 no, I think they both work great. I just always talk about how push-pull is when you have the most likely chance of having unsynchronized servos that are fighting each other. So push pulls when you got to pay attention. But you have to pay attention with pull pull too. Haha

You're making this way more complicated than it needs to be. The reason I say that is your arm is moving in the horizontal plane and your horn in the vertical. Mount your arm in the vertical, and as long as they're straight and parallel, both will move the same distance and speed in both directions. This is true for any control surface.

Joe - personally I hope ya don't go too far down the rabbit hole - sure, get Premier, maybe Avid, get all the tools to edit yourself crazy - that software is all over YT and imo, tends to be overused - for me (and I'm the guy that doesn't even want music during flight videos) it's the content - - your demeaner and calm presentations are perfect in my book - the lack of (thank gawd) some 45 seconds of some dumb ass snazzy intro complete with mixed in sound effects & music, which is typical of someone playing with that higher end software, well, I personally can live without that stuff and I've had the thought multiple times that it's cool you don't "go there", and hey, when you do show us specific stuff, the camera work is always nuts on, so no, ya don't need some $3K camera and related software to bring to us all the excellent content you give us. Please, don't knock yourself, don't listen to those that might be telling you that you need to add "pizazz" - imo, you're a guy that simply doesn't need to be "slick" to get us to your channel, hey, you're already well over 1K subscribers. AND - I especially love ya don't try to sell me anything - come on, even your more famous friends, because of course I watch them too, are too often "selling" what their running for equipment - you never do that, yep, ya tell us what servos ya like and all that, and that's perfect - the motors you like, the differences in the ARF's you like, etc - just love how you lay it out there without (to my knowledge) being sponsored or influenced - you're greater than you might think you are just the way you are - your channel matters a lot to me and it's in part because of you not trying to knock me out with YT "slickness", actually I guess that makes you unique too. Anyway, sorry I sort of got up on the "soap box" but thanks for sharing all that you can, it's always so appreciated.

Joe here's a perfect example of what I hope you don't end up striving for - and yeah (you're too funny) this guy obviously "grooms up" before his filming - it is undeniably perfect - intro, music, (certainly that's Adobe Premier music) constant inserts, the whole pizzazed up deal including an interesting subject - - it's so slick that it makes one that has some experience with this stuff crazy - the use of his software is way too obvious - - it's like watching TV where the producers are running Avid Liquid and get paid to be slick - too much "face", too quick on the inserts - actually hard to follow without the fullest of attention regardless of the great subject - - - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXKqhWifo7aGmac - I vow not to bring this up again, forgive my passion, your channel is so good because it's the antithesis of these slick guys.
