I had not heard this song in years…then for some reason some of its lyrics kept coming to my mind. Then finally I remembered it was The Robe. Wonderful song, wonderfully sung. I have the book, The Robe, which was made into a movie. I am looking forward to reading it again.

Wow! Thank you for sharing this. Labor Day weekend will mark 12 years of the Holy Spirit turning my heart inside out. A heart transplant! Life changing, foot stomping, hands lifting giving Him praise for what He’s done and continues to do in my life. As a child of God when we choose a way that we think will be better, quicker and less painful. We’re wondering how we got there. All the while thinking God wants me to be happy. And it’s just to help my physical pain. But that’s just it. God uses situations to get our attention and says…hey I want your whole heart. Not just part of it. Total surrender and trusting in Him. And that day He showed me that where I was at and doing wasn’t a way to cope. It was masking it. And didn’t line up with scripture and His best for me. And He met me right where I was. Broke my heart wide open and took the pain away and gave me a brand new way to cope. What the world offers is temporary. And Christian’s aren’t immune to it. And I was set free! My chains are gone. Shackled no more to my past. I don’t think like I use to. Drink what I use to. Go where I use to go or do what I use to. And my strength comes from the Lord! Through His word and the power of His Holy Spirit! I am changed! And what a difference He’s made in my life! Praying this encourages you and so many more! God is still on His throne! And in the business of reconciliation! In families, marriages and relationships! He did it for me! Never stop believing what He can do! Love and Prayers, Melody 🎶❤️🙏🏻
