When I worked in service, the one thing I learned about CVT transmissions is that everyone that had an issue with them, abused or neglected them. The redesign in 2023 to the CVT and TCM made significant improvements on the torque it can handle, and how it shifts. I am really confident in the design and that it has pushed the industry to produce better CVT’s generally.

eveyrone who is unsure of the Titan...dont be...Titan is just as good as other Big 3 half tons. Sometimes it is even better too. hauls just as much and payload is even better than claimed by Nissan. I over loaded my Titan multiple times...i noticed no struggle from the truck.

I have a 2020 Titan Pro 4X. I love the truck. I just looked at a 2024 Pro 4x exactly look like my 2020. Nothing at all difference. If I bought it my wife would never know I bought a new one. That is a problem with the Titan. No changes or upgrades of anything since 2020.

Nissan has done nothing regarding changes to the Leaf. I own a 2022, and the 2024 is no different other than minor cosmetic changes. Personally, I don’t like those wheels, which is one of the few things they’ve changed. Where it matters most, they done nothing. I’m sure if you ask Leaf owners they would say, why haven’t they incorporated thermal management to the battery? If anything , that should have addressed. Don’t get me wrong, the Leaf is a fine car , but addressing thermal management would gone a long way to increase sales.

You know, that is a valid point. I think there is alot of innovation yet to be had. When I was in the Service Center, I was always impressed how peoples brakes never needed to be replaced. Such a money saver!

I drive my 2019 40kwh 250km (approx 155 miles) in summer. You can squize out another 10 miles or so if you dare to drive bellow 0%. In mild winter (around 0C) it goes approx 200km. Driving it on a highway - though - thats another matter. Easily loose at least another 20-25% there... The bullshit-o-meter is just bs. All Leaf owner very fast learn to use %-battery and gets a lot of math-practice.

@erik5820 11 ай бұрын
@@Fraiyia If it is winter and there are smaller trips with repeated heating of the car involved I quess 80 miles could be the range. Not quite shure what you mean by "mean well", though, as I have have driven it 250km in one strech with no charging a few times. It all depends on driving conditions, temperature, speed, tyre type, tyre pressure and driving style. NAF (the Norwegian AAA equivalent) drove this car 306km (190 miles) in their summer range test (year 2020) until it reached turtle and stopped (ideal temp 20-25C & dry roads). The winter test resulted in 209 km (-6 to +3 degrees, rain and sleet). Note that this is until physical stop - not just down to "0% - battery" showed. 16" wheels both summer & winter

@@erik5820 I’m glad you’re having such good luck with this vehicle I’m not. I live in Texas. It gets hot as hell here during the summer - The summer lasts from July to sometimes October.. and if you need to go somewhere, you better turn on the air conditioner because you will overheat . Cold I don’t even need to turn the heat on . 30 degree in the car? maybe … The car barely has 35,000 miles on it. The battery shows it’s in perfect condition but dude, I do not get any kind of range on this car at all. I checked the vehicle for odometer fraud. I checked the battery I have leaf spy I’m an electronic engineer. So I understand the math here and components . I have reset the computer so I can get an accurate read on the miles per kilowatt. Calculations that I run however show that I’m getting about 1.05% per mile . so it’s simple math or just move the decimal point 2X to the left and you get 105 miles. Now generally I don’t take chances, I won’t bear out the battery to zero or to 10% before I charge it . If it is at 30% , it’s getting plugged in. So I’ve never put a 100 mile test on the vehicle before. But I’m sure my math is correct - about 1.05% loss per mile driven and that’s an Eco mode and watching how I drive and being very careful not speeding not racing not doing anything to draw it down much . Here in Texas everyone wants to drive these big $70,000 trucks and they think that if you drive these electric vehicles these Teslas these anything that’s not like what they drive then you’re just wrong or whatever their problem is . They have a practice they do here- they do this thing called rolling coal and they basically have a mechanism that douses you with a cloud of unburned diesel fuel. It’s unsafe practice if not childish as well. But it proves my theory that we’re never going to really have a society of most electric vehicles because of all the really stupid people and unfortunately, I hate to say it about my own country, but most the idiots seem to be from the United States of America . Honestly dude this car might have some kind of an issue. I don’t know maybe there’s some kind of software failure or something going on with the car but 1.05% for a 2018 car seems a bit much . I would hope for something like 1.75% per mile.

Nissan dealer really?? Nothing changed on the 2024 Leaf. The only thing which changed recently was new alloys in 2022, the usb c port, a small change to the packs and the black gloss grille. Every other feature has been the same on leaf’s for years. The “shield” on the wheel; you mean pro pilot assist, that’s the semi autonomous driving system. Since 2018 they had rear car and ped warnings, forward collision alert & avoidance for both cars and peds, blind spot warning, lane keep, e pedal and the option for the 360camera & heated steering. The heater controls have been the same since 2011!! So how exactly is this all “refreshing stuff” ZERO transferred to the leaf FROM the Ariya.
