For some reason you did a performance video without every really showing a single performance metric. Do you remember at least what your average FPS was? Did you hold 60 FPS the hold time?

I dont have any pedals for me wheel brakes and I was gonna bind them to my HOTAS but the just wont bind. The area is greyed out which doesnt really make sense since I can bind everything else and I could bind it on the steam version (I moved to standalone a few days ago). This also happens with the air brakes binding as well and its just as annoying.

If they asked for a $100 donation to the museum to be able to sit in the cockpit, I’d pay it.

I just played this mission like 20 times trying to beat it (in VR using a Quest 2). The mission now seems to be late afternoon instead of early evening and the BTR-80s seem to have 20mm cannons instead of machine guns. The most foolproof way I found to beat it is to go straight for the truck-mounted ZU-23-2 at the orange smoke at the beginning (it's the fast-firing weapon with the red tracers) and just go nuts with your rockets to destroy it ASAP; it's unarmored so it's going to be a lot more vulnerable to shrapnel from the rockets. When the ZU-23-2 is destroyed, fly a very tight circle a few hundred feet above the accompanying BTR to have your door gunner shooting down into its roof, then go do the same thing to the other two BTR-80s that are accompanying the other group of vehicles (fly tight circles a few hundred feet above them while your door gunner shoots down into their roofs). Then when the BTRs are gone you can take your time destroying the trucks.

Rod, I accidentally messed up my keybinds by deleting them. There doesnt seem to be a restore, so im trying to reconfigure all settings incl TrackIR. Is there an easier way for the module to sense my Warthog HOTAS, or do I have to keybind everything manually?

won't you blow up engine at that manifold pressure? i just started few days ago and sometimes I ruin it minutes after takeoff. only green zone in pressure and RPM does the trick for me. can't even get to maximum continous at 42 pressure and 2.7k rpm.. mustang just break down and I am not capable to push it to those numbers anyways

Fantastic Info, Ddint talk about Saving Profiles though. I woulld love to know what graphics setting your using. My plane and cockpit look somewhat cartoonish.

Thank you for taking the time to make this video. With regards to the take off, I believe that if you pull back on the stick while you taxi etc, it actually locks the tail wheel for you. I hope that helps.

Thank you very much, I'm only 2 months into DCS and I got the F-14 A/B but the Rio needs to grow a pair 🫣 So I got the f-18c had the same TWCS from TM like yourself. Now I have a WW '02 Max that's over 140 where I can map Lord. I can't remember all that so i'm mapping a little here and a little there and learning a little bit each day. Now I'm in the gripen now that ain't so bad. It's about a medium fidelity. I believe the f-18 is the most complex and I truly love it. They have a g governor at 7.5 g's. There is a bypass. I forget what it's called. I think it's the paddle switch. I jumped the 10.5 and let go of it before my pilot blocks out. But when I get into a horizontal scissors with an F-16 he sure ain't expecting that. I can cut that two circle out. You know it was the mapping and binding that was more frustrating not knowing how and what in people joined DCS everyday and leave every day because of it. Not knowing that there's a KZbinr such as yourself that helped out immensely. Thank you so much! Very much

Great Video! I just bought a VKB left hand throttle and right hand premium stick. The problem is that I can bind buttons on my throttle but no matter what I do I can't get DCS to recognize my throttle. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

I was in that cockpit in July 2019 The reason there is no stick is because they want us to go inside more easily.

Yea man I enjoy pvp and wanted to learn dcs for pvp only as soon as I found out its mostly pve with one server that has pvp thats hit or miss I pritty much checked out.

Can the throttle be set to 0% thrust when the throttle is pulled all the way back to the rear?

Funny thing :) Was on the USS Midway in the early 80's, when an F-14 had no choice but to land on the Midway (We didn't have them). We "trapped" and after clearance, we "catted" it (2-3 days later?). All without a hitch...Ahh, the magic of the Midway :) It's what we do! By the way...Relieved the USS Ranger early in the I.O. (fire, 2 wks early) and when getting relieved by the USS Kitty Hawk, same cruise, it ran over a Ruskie sub (again, 2 wks late). What a cruise :)
