Quite common, Crows often remove parasites and ticks from deer ears where I live. Clearly the deer knows what the crow is doing and it approves :)

interesting thing is, its a learned skill, not something they know how to do by default. Gold star bird for this is a cattle egret, who have better beak and body shape for it, crows can pick up the behavior from watching them, or the less nice ox peckers, as well as a few other bird species.
