Was bought in 2022 by developers and then had a mysterious fire occur after they were denied planning permission. Of course the mysterious fire caused enough damage that they got permission to demolish and build some flats now. Should be restored rather than reward this crap. It was originally known as Crank Hall and was built in the 1700s

It’s heartbreaking to see the house full of someone’s life slowly decaying. I can’t understand why whoever inherits the house, doesn’t sort through it and take everything that can be saved to charity shops. All that china, clothing and toys.

Apparently according to local Facebook closed in 2022 but was due to be resold or reopen. Under new owners/mangement. Friar Park is an area my dad knows he says it is rough but Ik the local news is saying the Council are trying to transform the area. So whoever took this on obviously wants to cash in. Using Street View in early 2023 it wasn't in this condition. So obviously maybe it had closed and was being taken over but then brought and now someone wants to use the land for redeveloped as the area is being regenerated. The Crooked House brought these issues to life when Pubs are now being closed and brought due to apparent lack of bussiness despite still adverisiting events and the gaffers seemingly unaware or still tryin to figure out what has happened. To be turned into either Flats, Expansion of land, Houses or Mosques. Or Shops or more than likely HMO's. Two by me are owned by the same company one is set to be Flats but seems to have stalled and the one was due to be a Bussiness Centre and might still be. But the Chippy in the same building but that wasn't a Pub might being turned to Flats/Hotel to house migrant Care Home workers. The Flat above it seemingly seems occupied. So now I have no idea what is happening to it. As it seems to have stalled. It is a local trend around Wednesbury, Darlaston, Dudey and Walsall and even West Brom that pubs seem to being turned into things and there seems to be less and less it almost like say the Pub had a reputation for being unfriendly and there is a Friendler pub up the road lets close one of them and mix the crowds or drive customers away weather friendly out the area or the Friendlies out of the Pub that will soon include the Gaffers of that Pub/Owners who don't want to be assiocated with Riff-raff rather than closing 1 you close 2 use them for Flats or Houses or Bussiness or whatever or HMO's in Squallor Make money rince and repeat. Or Close 1 and force 2 to also close. Either way either 1 pub wins or neither win. Looking at this Pub on Streetview it was busy had a Burger Van in the Carpark. Always had Cars or Vans on the Carpark and had people stood outside. Obviously had Sky Sports Friar Park being an area of mixed Albion and Wolves Fans they would have flocked to watch the games. Looks like it had a proper community feel
