I would recommend using something like Zencastr or, Riverside. You could record it into Audacity if you have an audio mixer but you won't get different tracks for all the four. Zencastr is what I have used for recording more than 1 person. It depends upon what kind of music you are using.. Some music is available with Pixabay.com, freemusicarchive.org/ etc.. Otherwise you can buy music from hoopr.ai (thepodcastinguniversity.com/go/hoopr/) or, epidemic music..

I don't know a way of finding the audio settings.. But if you haven't reset audacity, then the settings should be there..

I record on a Mac - and under Audio Settings - Host - I do not have the option "MME" but only "Core" - could you explain what this means anyways? Also why do you recommend to record in Stereo instead of Mono? I love this small tutorial but would prefer more explanation on the why you do those settings.

If you are using a Mac, you can ignore those settings.. Those settings are basically for Windows because Windows offer a few different options for the interface between the recording device and Audacity.. On selecting Stereo, the reason I recommend it is because of the immersive sound quality. While you might not notice a difference between an audio recording in mono and stereo, if you are using a regular headphone or, even the system's speakers to listen to the audio, the difference is noticeable if you are using a high quality headphone.. Why let go of that quality when you have an option of using it? That's basically my point!

What if you have an existing podcast, but never had a "podcast host". I had my xml file and my sound files on my old website, and want to create a new website. How do you embed your podcast feed on the new site if you never had a "host"? Is it different from your instructions here? I have 630 episodes on my feed. Can I put this feed on the new website, so listeners have access to some or all of the old episodes? I don't want to create a separate blog post for every single past episode. I just want the episodes to appear in a scrollable player. I have always used the app "Feeder" to create my episodes on the feed file. Can I just import this feed file, or put in a link to it?

This will work only on a Podcast RSS feed.. So you will need an RSS feed url to embed the podcast.

Hi, I don't have a lot of experience doing it for music but, with my little experience there are two things that I can say - 1. If you have recorded both the vocals and the music in one track it will be very difficult to remove the background noise. 2. If it is on two tracks, then you can follow the same method I showed here to remove the background noise from your vocals and then mix it with the music.

I've got great interviewees lined up but i have NO CLUE how to set these up, another problem is that my laptop camera isnt that great so I'm considering using my phone...any help u can send my way will be most appreciated. how can I set zoom to record me and my guest in gallery view? Instead of switching bw me and the guest according to who's speaking? I tried selecting gallery view but it still recorded in speaker view. I have premium. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am not sure I quite understood your requirement. But if you are looking at recording all the participants at once, you should be able to do it in gallery view.. Do let me know if that helps.. Are you recording locally or, to Cloud.. There is a difference in how both of them behaves.. You will be able to see all of those in the above Zoom documentation page..

Confusing…Why do 2 wav forms show up if you are recording in solo mode? Multi track usually shows 2 or more wav forms. Please explain what prompt you selected that you are showing 2 wav forms.

That is because I was recording in in Stereo. If you are recording in Mono, it will show only a single waveform. You can choose to record in stereo or, mono it is entirely your choice. By default Audacity records in Stereo. If you want to change it to Mono, just go to Tracks > Add New > Mono Track.. and then you can record in mono.. Hope this helps!
