An mt09 for your first bike is way too much for ya unless youve ridden a heavy bike or dirt bikes before you're gonna drop it and struggle stick to a lower cc like 300 to 500 then go higher, but just a suggestion because everything becomes more difficult and skilful the bigger the bike

@@bean7250 I just don't want to waste money on a bike I don't like, why is it harder to start on a bigger bike like the mt09? Explain to me like a dummy because I basically am, I've only ever ridden 125s and that was like 10 years ago. Surely if I respect the bike and start slow it will be ok? I'm 30 years old so won't be ragging it about until I'm confident on it

@Soarific that's good you've ridden one before, but what I mean is because the throttle is stronger and the bike weighs more quite literally every single thing you could possibly do is harder because it requires more skill and strength to perform, but if you are a decently tall guy with good upper and lower body strength and dedication you can most definitely get away with it, I just made the suggestion because it is dangerous to practically "start" on w motorcycle that is this heavy and has such power. It has risks, but as long as you take things slow and practice things like slow maneuvers like u turns, swerving, emergency braking, stopping and going, from a stop to sharp turns things like that if you can manage to get pretty decent at that you're pretty much set, because the real problem with a heavy bike is some riders can't handle it because they're still shaky or have bad form and they drop their bike or mess things up, but like I said take it slow and you can most definitely be fine on the mt09👍

@@bean7250 Thanks a lot for the advice man, I am 6ft2, pretty lanky so not exactly the strongest fella lol. So bigger cc bikes tend to weigh a tonne more compared to smaller ones?

@@Soarific i dont have any plans on upgrading to the new 2024 model, ive sat on it and wasn't very impressed. It had a cheaper feel to it, i like the look but i couldn't get passed how much lower quality it feels. Plus i love my gen 2 way too much to trade it in. Im biased, this is my first bike and it has that sentimental value to me

Bro, MT-07 and MT-09 do 100k, even 150k miles and still going strong. If you maintain her on time and take at least some form of "care", don't let her rip while cold etc., she will last and last putting smile on the riders face.

Only thing to keep in the mind are drops, crashes etc.. Don't be fooled, everybody sooner or later will drop or be involved in some sort of crash. Just get bike checked before buying.

They are lovely gloves, my favourite pair to go out in. Ive considered it, im not sure what the implications are of having a plate that has the ability to flip. Even not flipped im pretty sure it's not allowed 🤔 Currently the bike is untuned, i did plan on getting the ECU flashed this winter, fixing the big dent in the tank may have just eaten into my ECU fund though 😅

@@LetsRide-POV The FnD plate holders are 100% legal. With the full system, have you got the baffle removed? Also with your 09 not having the ECU tuned, Did you notice whilst rolling of the throttle, it decel pops. Hence (Its running lean). But knowing decel pops are fine as long as its not continuous / popping like there is no tomorrow. How long have you had the exhaust fitted for, with not ECU tune? / Have you noticed your headers going a blue sort of colour, or are they originally the colour of the exhaust?

Only difference is the suspension I believe save the pennies and do your own upgrades, and unless your a pro or hoon around a track all day you probably won't notice much difference
