The best start to deciphering what some of the massive amount of stuff is for those of us who aren't tech geeks. I was recently asked how many devices that this could support...I checked the box and online, but that was nowhere to be seen. I was then asked whether I could assign devices to a node. Again, I looked all over the place, and I have yet to find the answer to that one as well. If it hasn't been done already, I'd love to see a video as to how best to manage the dozens of devices between the two nodes.

Debating between this and Eero 6 pro to upgrade to and run home network including multiple Wifi security cameras. This seems to have better too speeds but I’ve heard pro 6 is more stable and reliable. Ugh 😣

Nice video! I recently bought 3 XT8's and the two nodes mysteriously went down and disappeared from the network and don't show up on the app...unless I use an ethernet cable. Then, they only appear as a connected wired device...but are not broadcasting WiFi. I have tried every possible scheme mentioned on the Internet, but they refuse to be discoverable. Anyone have any experience with this? And, for the love of Christ, please don't write "update firmware". That seems to be the only thing ASUS tech support advises. They make that comment and never follow up.

Yeah. No. I have both types. Oled has nothing to fear from LED TVs unless you're watching in a very bright room.

Hi, to start I like to thank you for your video, it is very informative. But I have a question I hope you or someone else has an answer for. I have a door with a multi-point locking system, so my door doesn't lock unless I lift up the handle first. I know this, and I think it's okay that I have to lift up the handle for Yale Assure Lock to work. However, I'm wondering what will happen if I forget to lift up the handle? Will the Yale Assure just keep trying to lock when it meets the resistance and cannot lock the door, and just let me know that it is unlocked? Or will I need to disable the automatic lock function?

I’ve the AMPLIFI HD in my house at the moment. And it’s really just been such a good experience, except the speeds aren’t anywhere near what we pay for with 1GB. We’ve a pretty old brick house with 9 bedrooms, so thick walls and a lot of connected devices and hasn’t has much issues, however I’m worried about getting the alien over the orbi for the simple reason you can get a 3 pack with orbi and I need as much SQ coverage as possible. We also need Wi-Fi to ready the front of the house for our Tesla for updates. Would you think 2 aliens are enough? Or am I right in going for orbi. Reliability is crucial.

Great review. It looks very cool. Question - if one has a pre-existing Home Mesh network, then can you add an Alien Mesh (two Alien routers) using wireless backhaul between them? As in a separate network to extend wifi (and plug in a games console in the room below) in Bridge/Access Point mode composed of two Aliens. With Alien 1 plugged in to the Satellite of the existing Mesh. Alien 2 on floor below.

Yeah I was hoping for more help with the August app. I'm trying to set the Connect device and it keeps telling me I have no compatible smart locks available. Which is annoying because I literally just installed the Assure lock that has that device included with it. I thought maybe it was a distance issue. So I moved it only 5 ft away from the door lock and I still get the stupid message. So im not sure where to go from here.

I am just busy setting up one of these today, named both the 5 and 2.4 frequencies the same as my old system with the same passwords and half of my smart switches (about 20 of them) are now "off-line" and it seems the only way to get them back on-line is to factory reset and re-setup each switch!! including all the Alexa routines... been pulling my hair out with this router.

Hey man, nice review! Just wanted to clarify a couple items of potential confusion for others watching this review. FIRST: you absolutely CAN buy these products at Best Buy. SECOND: You absolutely CAN combine this with Ubiquiti devices. There is no reason why you couldn't run an AmpliFi router in conjunction with some Unifi access points, switches and even (technically) a Unifi security gateway. Vice versa is true also: You could make your primary router a Unifi Dream Machine Pro, for instance, and then use the Amplifi router to extend your network. You simply need to setup a control server, or purchase a cloud key to manage the access points and various Unifi equipment. Now, it is true that the two devices have different software packages for management, which I think is where you were going with your comment that they can't be combined. So, as I said, nice review, but just wanted to clarify those points for you and your viewers!

Hi please readme and help me.. i feel very sick in my stomach after purchase this tv because i feel like i do a bad purchase... maybe its need calibrate. I have qn90a va panel. And its 75 inch. I use for 1 times yesterday for see a movie and i saw a very granish picture. And picture quality its no so good. Im new in this HDR world i repñace my old top moddl samsung 2005 LNT52 and that tv always looks so good and pop color has 150,000:1 contrast ever need to calibrate . I dont know what happen here and i feel that way because cost me 3,000 plus mpney expecting a waoooo and its not so waoo for me right now
