For MvC2 I would recommend an arcade stick honestly. The game is from an era where fighting games were designed around it. A pad works too if you don't want to invest in a stick right away. I personally use the Hori Fightstick Alpha with a Sanwa lever and Sanwa silent buttons. I don't recommend leverless, I use leverless for new games (SF6, KOFVX) but for MvC2 it feels terrible.

I had no idea that these Megadrive CD classics were ported to Saturn & PS1. Are they the same or altered for the jump from 16-bit to 32-bit...? I finished both on Mega-CD, but later put the original on many times to hear Luna sing under the tree near the start of the first game. Are these to be released on Steam at some point...?

They changed a few things in the PS1 versions. Outside of the graphics and music, Lunar 1 had some big changes to the story, Lunar 2 had some story changes as well but not as major as the first game. Yep! The collection is coming out on Steam.

The major thing with questlines is what elements are what level in that area plus what quest lines and areas you've completed. You can miss out on a lot of quests but there's really only 3 questlines that are important and you can't miss them

Yeah, it's too easy when you are playing it on practice mode and they dont fight back. It also kinda looks like you are playing it on easy mode. I'm just assuming!! Lol.

@grandpu659 dude, i could easily beat you at Marvel vs. Capcom 2 or anyone other fighting games. It's practice mode. If you are playing easy mode, then all it takes is smashing buttons to make combos. I play normal mode. I have to actually perform the moves. Sorry, but you have no idea what you are talking about. Also, doing a 7 hit combo and then going into you super doing a 18 hit combo isn't impressive.

New player here trying to get into kof xv in the ps5, im used to playing strive on KB so learning the pad is like starting at 0. Ive tried to do the hop motions as if im doing the quick up and down motion and it never worked, until i stumbled upon this vid. Thank you so much.

Guys, the “redheaded stepchild” remark about Lunar 2 is only about remakes and rereleases. That’s it. Not the quality of the game or if it was good or not. The defense force can move on 😂

I don’t think Lunar 2 is a red headed step child. I hate to expose my age but when that game released in Japan, it was MASSIVE. It got remake back during Saturn era along with SSS. Since then, I think sadly Game Arts has been trying to appeal the game to more masses by remaking it again on psp, and also with the DS sequel which did not work. I am SO happy for this remaster by the way!

I will beg to difffer as Lunar 2 was remade for the PS2. NOW THE REAL STEPCHILD would be the Lunar that was made after Lunar 2 the one for the DS. The Lunar that no one talks about.

I’m not aware of nor have I seen Lunar 2 on PS2. I didn’t call it that because it’s bad, it’s and amazing game, I called it that because it doesn’t have the amount of remake/releases as Silver Star, I like Eternal Blue was forgotten about. There is no Lunar on DS 😉

The boss leveling looks interesting from the ios. I know that enemies probably have some arbitrary recommended level per location, but bosses would scale to Alex's level, so I couldn't really level grind without being punished for it, at least until level 50. I've only played the PS1 version of Silver Star Story and not Eternal Blue though, so I do not know of any other versions. I look forward to seeing what bosses are like if they aren't scaled to Alex's level. I felt like that feature held the game back as I like to get super overpowered in JRPGs.

It must be because I've been raised on Consol Fighting games, but I think the bare minimum of Single Player Modes as been set with Tekken 2: -Arcade -VS -Practice -Team Battle -Time Attack -Survival This feels the bare minimum. In the long history of Solo Content we got some breaktrough. -SoulCalibur with "Edge Master Mode" -Street Fighter Alpha 3 with "World Tour Mode" -Mortal Kombat Deception with "Konquest Mode" All 3 mixes trials and story with unlockable and a sense of adventure. I would take 1 Konquest Mode over any Story One.

Please tell me that I wasn't going crazy watching the stream and thinking "Did Moonerang get faster starting speed?" because that was one of my biggest wishes for gameplay changes: Moonerang getting faster starting speed and slightly decreased acceleration to compensate. For how good it is, it's guaranteed to chew up AT LEAST half a minute of your time every time you pop it, to the point where I didn't want to use it at times.
