I always loved this song on the original album but, this is a great live version! It's been 35 years since The Works released their album "From Out Of Nowhere"! Still one of my favourite Canadian band albums!

Gah. OK, well if you set aside a bit of time to upload them, you would make a lot of people very happy! This video you've uploaded is likely the earliest bootleg of the Hip available anywhere online. So the fact that you have MORE...! There's already a post about this video in the Hip fan site hipbase.com cheers!

I've never seen any clips with the sax player in it. He was good, but I'm currently trying to image the difficulties of working a sax in to every Hip song. Its much easier to show the Canadian Pete Best the door.

This is the first video I've seen with Davis Manning on sax. Thanks for recording and uploading! Was this at The Loyalist? Check out my channel if you want to see how The Tragically Hip Day (August 20, 2016) unfolded in Kingston.

Hello Stan, Thank you very much for posting this video. The songs "Slave To The Thrill" and "Love Is A Dangerous Weapon" video. So cool!!!!!! Where did you record this live performance? The Works was an awesome Toronto band and this is first time I have seen any live recordings posted on KZbin. Awesome!!!!!!! I saw The Works play live in Toronto at a place called The Diamond Club for free. back in 1990 when I was going to college. Thanks for the post!

Voice is strong as on the album. Nice range. The key's are quite tacky sounding. No fault of the guys. Liked this group! Still have the cassette somewhere! HA!!

Brian, thanks so much for posting this one! Did you have this one on an old videotape? I have never seen it since back in the day when MuchMusic was playing it all the time. Any prospects for you guys getting back together to make some more music? This one brings me right back to my days at Humber College living next door to you on Yorkview Drive in Toronto. Thanks for the memories! Cheers! Ron

Brian, I have watched this video at least a dozen times since I found it and I really like these songs. You should record these songs and release them on CD! I have the first song, Man of a Few Words stuck in my head. I would love to hear it with full band backing. Lead guitars, bass, drums, keys, vocal harmonies. Great work Brian!

Brian, these two songs are excellent! Glad that you posted this video. You should record these and put out a CD. Cheers! Ron Behro Sarnia, ON.
