Thank you for this Lewis. It was very reflective and helpful. I'm glad you found the book useful. As you said some of the ideas that Jerome Berryman put across are difficult to understand. Like you I found the three different uses of grace very helpful. I hope you don't mind me adding a bit. The way he went on to speak about God's graceful relationship with us as being 'three-in-one' I found very profound and almost poetic. 'The relationship with God is with the one who is beyond, the Creator God; it is the one who walks beside us speaking and in intelligible human form, in Christ; and it is in the creative power within, the Holy Spirit. All this richness remains within a single relationship of gracious, gifted overflowing energy. The lure of the beyond, the support of a companion to identify with and the push from within to move toward what is holy are all at work in all our relationships whether we acknowledge this reality or not. The offer of this relationship is always there, a gift to be accepted, neglected or rejected. To reject it resists being part of the gracious movement of life' (J Berryman in Spiritual Education: Sussex Academic Press (ed Ota & Erica 2005) John Fellows

Great to see you again Eden and to catch up on your news with your situation in Hong Kong. It was interesting to learn of how you came to be called to move so far away. The view from your flat on the twentieth floor must be amazing. On 20th of each month we pray for you following the church prayer handbook, as you are on the same page as Newcastle District. Your policy of the church being open to welcome all remains a positive witness. It is good to learn what you really would like prayer for in your situation in Hong Kong so that our prayers can be informed.

In the beginning, Hod created man, then a woman. They laid together and have children. Whatever God bless always produce fruits. The Alphabets cannot produce fruits for God despise their actions.
