Did you go from 462 to 525 horsepower with just changing the dps exhaust manifold and the same injectors on both dynos? The exhaust manifold increased 63 horsepower by itself?
@KingofUrasus3 күн бұрын
Well the tune has way to much fuel dumping before the turbos fully spooled.

I haven got myself a nice set off new hybrid turbo's with ballbearings. But only the turbo from bank 2 is leaking a bit oil into the compressor side. Put 1.2mm restrictors in the oil feed because the manufacturer recommended it. And put new crankcase ventilator set on. It is better but still a bit oil in the compressor side turbo. Bad seal?
@carlosorff28 күн бұрын
Thank you for this video, it was really helpful. I have just one question...Lets say there was too much oil pressure due to a bit too much oil put into the engine and there was a leak on top of the turbo near the seal and near the intercooler. If there is less oil or normal oil level as no excess, will the seal and the leak that happened go to "normal" or not?

Drive pressure without boost pressure doesn't even affect the head gasket. 70 psi of exhaust pressure is nothing compared to the 1000+ psi the head sees during combustion. Not to mention what the factory 6.7 turbos do for exhaust braking.
@dieselnation555Ай бұрын
Holy drive pressure that is not good for the head gaskets

Surprisingly our compounds regulate EGTs so well that it makes high EGTs a thing a the past, a non-issue. The compounds sufficiently take care of the cooling aspect. This holds true even when pulling a really heavy load up a long steep incline doing 70+ mph.

Not completely no water line
@DieselPowerSourceАй бұрын
On a OEM VGT turbos there may be water lines to cool the electronic actuator, however, on the standard "non VGT", the type in our video, there is no water, only oil supplied to the turbo.

That's awesome and good news for you because the Turbonator VGT can increase the fuel mileage on your truck as well. The important point about the video is not what this specific stock truck's mpg was, but that just adding the Turbonator increased fuel mileage approx. 23%.

Love the pitch but is there an official report or experiment showing what 200-300 rpm faster spool up means?
@allenautrey62 ай бұрын
A Dyno run showing the different torque curves with a journal turbo and a ball bearing turbo of identical build would be a great way to show the differences
@aktionp202 ай бұрын
I honestly doubt it would be 200-300 rpm however you would definitely see a faster spool up than a journal bearing turbo.
@DieselPowerSourceАй бұрын
@@aktionp20 on a Cummins engine it’s definitely 200-300 rpms quicker spool up over the same sized journal bearing turbo.
@DieselPowerSourceАй бұрын
@@allenautrey6we should have that posted next week. Thanks!
@DieselPowerSourceАй бұрын
The 200-300 rpms quicker spool up means that with the ball bearing your truck will begin spool up earlier. For example, a truck that begins to spools up at 1600 rpms with a journal bearing 63mm turbo, if you were to put our ball bearing 63mm turbo on the same truck changing nothing else, it would start to spool up around 1300 or 1400 rpms.
