I'm always amazed by his staying power, blew my mind, not long ago, when I realized I had been listening to Richard James and all his elements for 30 years. I was 12 years old listening to Whitesnake when I first heard him. I don't listen to Whitesnake anymore, not unless I have to.

I have to hunbly say as an OG Aphex Twin fan ( and this true idolatry and no-homo cocksucking on my part) that as I was meandered through my own life and it's own chaoses as I wandered through KZbin and SoundCloud and miscellaneous debris of hit and miss streaming music that I thought ignorantly that these weren't even real and honestly didn't even click on them... But after foot surgery and a reasonable dose of pain pills that after this time he once again has blew my fucking mind. Out of the pits of some 92/99 years place you've either been to in your mind or not to the delicate intricacies and math that is behind the technical end. And I am done rambling but seriously maybe my favorite Aphex if there is one. They're all completely unique. I love the simplicity/ complexity of this man , if that makes sense..Nite plastic world! You got so many machines Richard.🖤

Where were all of you?! Long ago when I couldn't find anyone who listened to AT... I had 100 friends who didn't get it, or were listening to like Smashmouth or Deftones or something. But you all were out there, we were spread out. I remember being up late and watching MTV and suddenly the Come to Daddy video came on. I was already a fan, so mind just blew. I remember feeling like this band was my little secret, but like not just a lame secret, a great secret. I'd talk and talk about music with other kids I'd meet when I was young, even ones at raves, even ones who were into cool stuff like Dead Milkmen, Fugazi, Ministry - and no one brought him up. In my 20s I started finding other people who knew him at bars in Seattle. Then by the late 2000s he was at least someone most cool kids were aware of. But it took awhile. OUR little secret I guess. What gifted sounds Richard has shared with us all.
