Nice set of pictures. The death of field gives the image a 3D look and makes the subject stand out if it's a person. We were in Folkestone for a short break last weekend, just walking around taking snaps. We also went to Ramsgate in the daytime (we had to get back for dinner, which we had booked in the Rosemont), so we didn't see the boats light up.
@TudorSmithPhotographyКүн бұрын
Good that you made the trip though even if you missed the boats all lit up. There will always be another chance right?

I've actually being feeling a bit depressed about the conditions here in the South of the UK at the moment. Really grim, no contrast, everything just looks mushed together. I was hence surprised that this video popped up on my feed :) I've found that I can do night photography in our towns and in other "interesting" cities, and that way you're not dependent on ambient light and you get colours and contrast and moods. :)
@TudorSmithPhotography3 күн бұрын
It’s been bleak for far too long isn’t it? Night photography is a good way to exercise one’s photography skills so that we don’t depend on the day light. I hope you managed to get out with your camera 👍📷

Yeah we all get trolls There are people with all sorts of problems and also people are jealous because we are doing and they aren’t Funny thing is and it makes me chuckle they leave a not so nice comment but what they don’t realise is that still counts as engagement and helps the video performance I’ve blocked certain words to try and keep the comments relatively clean I just ignore the hate I sort of feel sorry for them being that filled with negativity
@TudorSmithPhotography5 күн бұрын
Crazy isn’t it? When I look at their profiles to see what videos they are posting - maybe to understand their comments and see if I can learn from their videos - guess what, they invariably don’t have any videos at all!

Been and photographed the harbour a few times over the years and even vlogged it myself, not an easy process trying to do both at the same time so well done getting this done. Some nice images there mate always like the harbour this time of year . I always struggle photographing this event as you said the harbour itself is very cluttered so trying to compose a nice image is very tricky. The light trails from that viewpoint also work really well. Enjoyed that !

Take it slow. Just observe and see. Watch how the light affects . Here you said you must hurry. A grandchild. So, other days ahead. Scout, and note potential places for photos. I use to keep a log book when, while on my job, places to check out. Many places could make great four season photos.

You still got some great results! I enjoyed watching. It makes you realise how ephemeral autumn is, a couple of years ago I made a timelapse video where I took a picture of the trees outside my window every day for a year - autumn came and went in a flash! :( perhaps that adds to the magic of the season though
@TudorSmithPhotography12 күн бұрын
I bet that time lapse was good. When I think of autumn I’m half expecting 3 months of brown leaves but the reality is that probably only last a couple of weeks. I reckon we are in for a long bleak winter though.

Great video! I really like the waves and beach photography, even in the “moody” weather, I like the effect it creates. I live on an island and have to take a ferry boat to leave-so I also quite liked the effect of the boats in your photos. Working in insurance- I expect the homes on the cliffs is quite expensive. I have cliff homes on my island and they have actually had to move the homes back when they get to close to the edge because of erosion! I would definitely consider your photos at the end macro photography-to me anyway- that is what I think of. I really loved them and the detail-particularly the water drops. Beautiful! I would love if you did do a series on the Cliffs of Dover in different weather/seasons.
