I adore figs, but the growing season is quite short where I live, so I have to cherish the fresh varieties that appear in our supermarkets for a few weeks in summer. Yours look delicious!

Thank you for such a thoughtful reply. I am slowly working on building a food forest. There is definitely a lot of learning involved in growing fruit trees and building a homestead, but I am having a lot of fun learning and developing my homestead. Thank you so much for watching! I hope you enjoy more videos on my channel. Have a wonderful day!

You are so kind! Thank you for watching our video. We have been learning how to homestead and this was our first experience having a baby chick hatch in the coop. Usually we hatch chickens in the incubator. So this was a pleasant surprise!😊 Thank you again for watching!

Fruit trees are the best remember that cherry tree I had my backyard hopefully you'll be able to plant one of those and it will become another child's climbing tree that will bring them happiness like it did for me I'm so excited about the baby chicks I have one pet chicken her name is Rizzi and she was born on your birthday you gave me my first pet chicken and the tradition continues😊
@thenorthstatepeasantfarmer10 ай бұрын
Those are very cool memories! I will definitely plant a couple of cherry trees in the spring.I am planning on planting many more fruit and nut trees. I am working on building a food forest, one tree at a time. I remember your first chicken Claudia 🐔 ☺️ I'm glad you are keeping the tradition alive, as am I. 😊❤️

Before I comment, I just want to tell you that I love your garden and your content it's very inspiring. I was curious: Are you growing any fruit in your garden? Remember when we were kids and I had that cherry tree in the backyard did you know they cut it down...... what a shame😢
@thenorthstatepeasantfarmer11 ай бұрын
So good to hear from you, my friend! 😊 Yes, I am growing fruit as well. I currently have 2 raspberry bushes, 1 grape vine, and the beginning of a food forest in my pasture. So far, I have a peach tree, pear , fig, and a mandarin tree.

Lots of good tomatoes. So do you usually use scissors to harvest them and if so why?? Just easier to get off the vines?
@thenorthstatepeasantfarmer Жыл бұрын
I usually prefer using scissors to harvest the tomatoes because it's easier for me. I've noticed that at times when I hand pick the big tomatoes, it takes some effort because they are sometimes positioned in odd areas on the plant and the branches will bend. So I just use scissors so I don't break the branches.

I am so excited that the chickens are finally producing eggs! There is really nothing that compares to the taste of farm fresh eggs! 😊
