Lovely stuff, any snakes?
@jono-molly
@jono-molly 5 күн бұрын
thank you, I am sorry didn't see your question earlier. Last year did that walk twice, not seen any snake but of course there are. This month will be doing that again twice, it is a pretty scenic route. I think & hope that typically snakes don't see us human as food, if they bite it is likely a defensive response. Hope yours and our hikes will always be safe from them😇

Is there anywhere a 2wd hilux would have trouble getting on this road? Great video ❤
@jono-molly

Not on the day we went through and I think that route is quite well maintained unless of course after days of drenching rains. Road has gentle slopes. It was an enjoyable drive

The view from a camera fixed to the windscreen is quite different to what your eyes mounted on your head can see. That road was less intimidating than the impression the video gives

I did this drive with partner going the other way to Victoria in a 1999 mazda 323 sedan which now has 495,000klm. It was slow drizzle all the way and I must say I sh-t myself , but once committed was not turning back 😝 Have to say the scenery was absolutely unbelievable . Glad we kept kept going 😅
@jono-molly
@jono-molly 4 ай бұрын
@@dirkdiggler9174 did the drizzle make the road muddy with pools of water and more slippery? I guess you were also on the cliff edge of the road going southward

nice video! how many hours total? and last stop is the lookout? how did you go back to the parking spot?
@jono-molly
@jono-molly 5 ай бұрын
Thank you. Sorry for the late reply. Yes the last stop was the lookout and we cheated, we did a car shuffle 😜. Can't remember how long exactly, it is typical by distance. Spent a bit of time searching for creek crossings. Only the final climb to the lookout was a bit of effort

Where does the snowy river start that leads to the Barry way
@jono-molly
@jono-molly 9 ай бұрын
I am not sure where the snowy river starts but it runs along the Barry Way (NSW) then Snowy River Rd(Vic) from Halfway Flat campground (NSW) till Willis Campground (Vic) maps.app.goo.gl/fnbckdTrj3QqPhnv9

What do you think of driving the Baar Way in daylight in a 2wd regular car?
@jono-molly
@jono-molly 8 ай бұрын
@@charliebrady3751 when we did that drive the road was certainly good enough for 2WD vehicles. It was well maintained typical of most dirt roads in Australia except immediately after a major storm damage.

You said to separate them 2 Km apart? Is this correct? great video by the way
@jono-molly

Thank you for you kind comment. The 2km was his preference to be sure the bees in the two halves stay apart. Do you know of what distance it would or would not work?

😄I have another software called SnagIt from TechSmith.com that can do screen capture as video or JPG and activate it with a timed delay so that when it starts the capture I can run the AllTrails' Preview. 😎
