グレン・グールドが若く他界したのは、非常に惜しまれる。彼は一人でバッハの演奏を塗り替えた真の天才である。衝撃のピアニストと呼ばれたが、グールドの解釈には、強い説得力がある。フーガの技法はバッハの到達した極み。バッハは純粋に作曲技法の総決算として作曲したのだろう。この曲は時間を超越している。永遠の宝だ。このオルガンによる演奏も機知に富んだ素晴らしい演奏である。特にコントラプンクト4番がよい。これからも決して忘れ去られることのない演奏だろう。

As always Glenn Gould sound is incomparable as purity and the movement of the voices is clear as a crystal

I never knew that Glenn Gould, the genius of piano, was such a wonderful organist, too. Does someone know more details about this magnificent record? Where, when was it accomplished ?

I agree with you. He was really genius. I own almost all his American CBS records. According to his personal history, he leaned to play the organ in his childhood. His piano technique was based on organ. Thanks.
