I remember this set when we saw The Little Big Band in concert in Columbus OH back in the day. 🥰

Amazing 😦😦😧😧😨😨😨, I believe that this impressive song has imprinted the Soul Our Lord Jesus Christ of such terrible moment. It is the only explanation for the amazing impact it causes every time it is heard and how the beatiful Ted Neely has interpreted it for 40 years. Faultless. No,no,no, Ghetsemaní song Is supernatural, Amazing, 😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😢👏👏👏👏👏

He did tommy on Broadway.
@hf4044 жыл бұрын
I was under the impression that Tommy as a staged musical wasn't a thing until 1992, as Wikipedia indicates. Yet I've seen several references to Ted Neeley playing Tommy in an L.A. production in the 70s, but no info on the show itself. So confused, lol.
@JohnDoe-gk7ok3 жыл бұрын
@@hf404 I guess there were small productions, but they never made it to Broadway. My guess is that because the concept album did not have a linear storyline, producers were not sure it could make money as a musical. (And maybe producers were uncomfortable with the depictions of child abuse?). In 1992, they had to significantly modify the plot to make it palatable for Broadway audiences.
@hf4043 жыл бұрын
@@JohnDoe-gk7ok Yeah, that makes sense. But the L.A. production of Tommy was apparently big enough to land him the lead role in Jesus Christ Superstar (at least according to imdb), so I just find it weird that virtually nothing can be found about it. I guess it's just one of those things which are ungoogleable, lol.
