Ever try to use Rivet-NUTs plus nuts that would expand underneath the fiberglass?

Never thought of that, but that's probably only because I usually have epoxy & fiberglass available.

I bought them from aliexpress, search for "footstrap insert". Also ebay.de should work:"Insert für Kiteboard Surfboard Fussschlaufen"

Can you please tell us what size footstrap screws are appropriate for these inserts?

The epoxy and insert together form a plug that's bigger than the hole, so it sit's very tight below the deck. I've since had the board in use without any issues with the new inserts. If there would have been a bigger cut made for more than one new insert per strap fixing point, it probably would have been a different case, and additional layer of glass would have been needed. But this has worked for me.

Yesterday I finally had a chance to test how this new position works. And it works like a charm :) Even when overpowered, the stance is stable and there's no more water spraying on my face from my heel.

It looks like youtube used really low quality codec for this one, so GoPro should not be blamed for the poor quality of the video. The effectiveness of the hypersmooth stabilization should be visible though.
