I have only bought from Freckled Fawn once but my package was missing an item too. I didn’t contact them about it because I live in New Zealand, so had used a freight forwarding company to keep shipping reasonable, and I felt the timing of my would be complaint and the double handling would be problematic. They don’t seem to include a packing list so I can see how things could get missed. I hope you hear something back. Their products are lovely but poor customer service always leaves a bad taste doesn’t it?

I appreciate you sharing your experience. Glad their items aren't terribly expensive when something goes missing. I'm just so confused about why I'm not hearing anything from them. Hmm.

@@CraftySoupVideo I am excited to see them all, but I am looking forward to the Lawn Fawn with Jenn Shurkus for the coloring, Crafters Companion with Sara Davies with the new inks, LDRS with Angie Hunt for that glaze stuff she's using, I always enjoy Simon and Gina's stuff, Honey Bee Stamps with Kelley Kohout's die set is adorable (I have to do that homework yet), I really like C9 products so that class with Cathy Z looks really neat, Hero Arts with Channin Pelletier I enjoyed during Hero Arts Stamp Along in July and she said she going to focus on techniques, and Jennifer McGuire's Mix It...I am very excited about them all really. :) How about you? Any of the classes catch your eye?

Thanks Michele. My box is getting fairly empty at this point. I need to decide if I want to get another box from somewhere and do this again next year. Hmm.
@micheleferland4182Ай бұрын
@@CraftySoupVideo As an alternative you could put some seldom used or unused supplies and tools in the box and pull from it the same as you have been doing. Last year I missed out on purchasing an advent box so I made my own from neglected Christmas stash and by the time it was time to open them it was a surprise.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments on the various glue products. I primarily use Tombow for larger areas and Bearly Art Precision glue for delicate, thin areas. I want to replace the Bearly Art because it is so thin, almost watery. I tried Connect from GinaK and did not care for it, even though it came highly recommended. Not only is it expensive, but the tube clogs very quickly. Years ago, I used the Art Glitter Glue, and I will go back to that brand now.
@CraftySoupVideoАй бұрын
Glad you found the video useful. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Interesting to hear how the Gina K clogged so quickly. (I'm now using the Glue Press from My Sweet Petunia and will be reviewing that in the future.)

I've been waiting to buy it since I had heard rumors of the Altenew Stamp Wheel getting a size increase. Once I heard the size wouldn't work, I went ahead and bought this one. Also this tool combo is a *tad* cheaper than the 12x12 Misti and has more fun & flexibility to it!

I use the Stampin' Up trimmer and have a back-up Fiskars trimmer that I use for cutting up packaging so that my FAVORITE trimmer (Stampin' Up) stays in good condition for crafting. I would love to see a comparison of the scoring blades of the Tim Holtz & Stampin' Up trimmer. Like the blade face up to the camera. I LOVE the loop style of the Stampin Up scoring "blade" because it isn't actually a blade that cuts. All the scoring blades on my past Fiskars trimmers had an actual blade that was just set shallower in the carriage. I think the scoring on the Stampin Up trimmer is superior because it isn't actually cutting into the paper fibers.
@CraftySoupVideoАй бұрын
I have the SU trimmer too. It was cutting crooked on me and I gave up on it. But I can do a quick video on the scoring comparison. However... I'm having a lot of trouble with the Tonic trimmer and at this stage I would NOT recommend it. I'm still talking to the company to see what they say.
@april_swinglerАй бұрын
I also store my dies with the magnet and dies facing the solid side of the pouch because I've had dies come out the tiny slots. It's seems unlikely but I've had it happen. It matters less when the dies are large, but tiny dies are so much easier to loose and not miss until later. I use pockets from Ellen Hutson - they closed their store but are still selling their pockets on Amazon (but they sell out frequently). They are much sturdier than the Avery Elle pockets. I have some pockets that the seams failed - but I can't tell if they are the Avery Elle ones or Memory Box because once they're out of the packaging all the thinner pockets feel the same.
@CraftySoupVideoАй бұрын
Thanks for leaving the tip on storing the dies facing away from pouch slots. I would not have thought of that... until it happened anyway! My Avery Elle pouches tear out occasionally at the seams. I tend to just add some tape but I have had to toss a few.
@april_swinglerАй бұрын
Thank you for doing this. The company I used to get my magnets from closed their brick and mortar and online shops so I've been looking for a magnet alternative. I have experienced frustration with SO many of the magnets I've tried. When I really have a problem with dies popping off is when either the pocket scrapes them off or the magnet sheet bends. I've begun gluing the magnet sheets to either the cut down packaging or a pieces of heavy cardstock to try to help with this.
@CraftySoupVideoАй бұрын
I'm going to be putting my Crop & Create sets on these new magnets to give them the real world test. I'll have to report back on how that goes.
