A really good summation of some of the ways food & exercise with the body checking and over exercising really messes with our living.

I did restrictive eating where I would skip two meals, eat something in eve and no I wasn't on OMAD, it just felt good to be in control, feel normal, kinda feeling that problem is getting eliminated. Unfortunately people would notice and try to force me to eat, bringing me to tears (I'm female, so easier for me to show these emotions, men also can but avoid). Of course all these restrictions would lead later on to binging, then to calorie counting, carb restrictions, using more like u said sugar free, calorie free foods to not go over my calorie count. I guess its easier to hide these behaviours when u are in shape because obviously people know that I didn't get fat from fresh air. Thanks for sharing, hope men are watching u too.

Opening up depends on having someone who will listen to you nonjudgementally. Most people do not have that. We need to listen to men, not to expect them to open to us, to shut them up.

I have huge amounts of respect for people opening up and sharing things like this. It's unfortunatete that there is any stigma associated with this sort of thing at all, but the only way it will be broken is it is by brave guys like you sharing your story. With the dedication and inteligence I've seen from you when we worked together, I have no doubt you will make this new initiative a success and help countless people. Stay safe and wishing you all the best!

You are so brave man! Males suffer from eating disorders too, not just women. It is brave of you to share all of these. I have disordered eating as well... There are days we fail but that’s okay, we have days ahead and I believe we can fight this! Lots of love!

Thanks for putting this out there Richie. I know a lot of men who have this problem and feel like they can’t speak about it. It’s not easy to admit to yourself you need help, so well done 🖤

Remember it's always a choice. It won't define you. You're a Cambridge graduate so you're a good student. Learn about your mind and how you can manage and process your emotions in a less destructive way. Go easy on yourself.. Just looking at you and hearing your story, I can tell you are a really great guy. Look up a book called "The Happiness Trap" by Russ Harris. And dude.. Forget this fantasy you are telling yourself that it's not masculine or whatever. You're a human being not a robot. Good luck.
