Singapore is probably the only country in the world where majority of its people cannot speak their own national language somewhat fluently. Worse still, many of its people don't even know what their national language is...

Imagine prior to it's move in 1996, this was the main govt hospital that serves Eastsiders. Which wasn't that long ago. Staff and patients of that time are very much around wonder if there are first hand stories

Because, part of the independence colonialisation process, there are 2 enshrined requirements is to preserve the rights, religion and language of the indegenous people(Malays). Therefore its written in the SG constitution. Look it up❤❤❤❤❤

As a Chinese singaporean, I am very disappointed to know so many youth Singaporeans who are ignorant of our National Language as Malay. Isn't our National Anthem in Malay? This should be emphasised in school. I hope we can all Chinese and Indians can learn basic Malay in Primary school while the Malays can learn either basic Mandarin or Tamil.

I used to live just next to Haw Par Villa on a hill, old kampong house...we can see the tiger statue from the backyard. The place was creepy even in the day. Saw a white lady on the tree but i didnt think too much abt it as i was very young then but i can still remember the tree and the white figure.

Imagine you have a ruin which has pits and dangerous spots all around despite some loose chains to prevent people from falling into them, do you think it is safe to open for visitors who are not wary of it? Certainly not. Hence there is a guard outside to stop people from going in.

Sorry ah, the background music can be softer, especially the vocals of the hosts are barely audible, by the time I turned the volume up to hear them properly, the music become unbearably loud.
