My Dad and I harvesting. Such fond memories. The auger on these were short yet Dad got a kick out of dumping on the fly. Our grain truck was a 1952 Ford 2 ton. Flat head V8, 4 speed with split Diff. Not synchronized. I drove the truck at night until it would get to tough. We were doing great abd getting good at dumping on the fly. Dad would have to lower his hand to the floor of the cab so I could see what direction he was pointing, guiding me forward, backward out and in. I was just a young kid at the time. Maybe 14...i didn't smoke yet so...I was 15 when I had my first cigarette. Anyway, late one evening, things are going smooth, its a dark night, no harvest moon, I see dad flash the combine lights, My signal to go off load the combine. I make a wide turn into the direction hes going, pull up to match his speed and hes giving me directions. He indicates he wants the truck a little closer and I move in, Im watching dads finger and flowing his every motion and while we are both trying to do several things at the same time he didn't stop the direction of in quite soon enough and the front fender of the truck was the perfect height to gently push the drive belt of the pulley of the pick up. We stopped and he finished emptying the combine while having a chuckle over the belt. When you watch the video of the combine unloading, you see just how short that auger is. I only had about a foot of wiggle room between the header pick up and the front fender. Dad put the belt back on and said that was a lot of fun but if it happens again we might cause damage so that was the end of taking dumps on the fly from the Massey 300. During those days Dad was working full time at the Hospital, Shift work, so when he was working days or evenings I would run the Combine and the truck. Loved it. Thanks for making this video, brings back great memories working with my Dad who passed away from Cancer in Aug of 2020.

Pacific energy makes great stoves. Put a pair of welding gloves beside the stove for reloading...save from singeing the hair off the back of your hand with eachlog.

Informative vid, thank you! Great comparison, to your earlier bottom-up fire starting vid. Definately, a top-down start - gets your secondary air heated faster. Have a great day...

Video of what I did coming soon. Swapped the weak Kohler engine to an opposed twin B&S for the thicker lawns we do. Awesome mowers

I found a 86 Indy 400LC cheap and have proceeded to almost break the bank on Ebay buying replacement parts. Hopefully it's a good reliable sled once it's done.

My most favourite sled ever. The first time I ever had to do points at 12 or 13 years old, I was so proud of that thing i could just take off in to the woods no trail needed. I still remember it had a 250 single B.S.E motor in it. Thanks for the vid!
