I do feel it's game over for Roger now. Amazing career but it has to end sometime and this looks like the recent setback will prove it. Does he want to play like Murray is doing right now in the belief he may return to greatness,but not getting the results , not so sure.
@LinusFeynstein

@@letmetellyousomething123 he will try to recover after the third operation and train hard for a comeback. But he is too aware of his possibilities and thus his comeback will be limited for one last season, maybe with the tournament Basel as a farewell. It is very unlikely that he will defeat Djokovic and the young guns in a best of three. I just hope the best for his health.

andy roddick could've been one of the best contenders in that era, if he had worked a little harder on his footwork, forehand etc..instead he thought he was good enough...derailing away with the temptations of things in real life.....I was rooting for him for at least 3 to 4 years before realizing he is not improving when every other top players were.....sad... only 1 us open title, could've been at least 1 australian open, 1 wimbledon the one with fed, and 2 US open titles.....

just kinda funny now when you watch closely on rodick's forehand he took so many mini steps with foot work and hand gesture and body motions and prepped himself so much before hitting the ball kinda awkard compare to federer's natural killer forehand.

As you watch federer play their is no one player that has the range of shots ,twists, or imagination as he does that in my book makes him a one off player that the world will never see the likes of again, brilliant to watch an all time sportsman in our times.THE BEST!!!!

I have never understood why that little half-stab half-volley Fed makes at 2:50 on the ball he overran on the baseline isn't considered one of his all time best. Everyone raves about the tweeners, they're on virtually every single "Best of . . . ", "Greatest All Time . . . " but this shot rarely gets the awe and admiration it deserves. Too bad, it's one of his real hummers . . . Cheers!

And how can Federer be the GOAT when he is so helpless against his main rival? 23-10 down in head to head, 9-2 down in slams. No one is ideal, dude. Both have weaknesses, both have favourite surfaces. By the way Nadal completed his career slam at a much younger age...

Re: Agassi: Rafa The Greatest..people hello?? I don't blame Andre..more so, had Rafa not faltered in the Kangaroo Land! Djokovic himself, around the spring of 2011, when he was reportedly in a tub with Rafal, personally said in Rafa's face and supposedly while both without wearin anythin on in that tub that, "to me, you're the greatest.." which in return jinxed Rafal - for Djokovic would then go on to beat Rafal a streak of 7 consecutive finals datin from Indian Wells 2011 to the extremely exhaustin match of Aussie 2012 (including 3 consecutive slam, which for sure by doing so gratified these foolishly devoted roger fanatics out there!!)..but that this roger reportedly is so glad for his fellow swiss winnin the lucky aussie?? More like relieved that fellow swiss saved him from Rafa being UNDOUBTEDLY the greatest out there ever, as far as quality and not quantity is concerned, which can be paralleled to Evert sayin that Serena is the greatest ever even without havin the most slams out there!! But Rafal don't need to prove no nuttin at all as the dominatin Aussie semis match further proves Rafal's edge over this roger and once again with the luck of the draw, this roger avoided another beatin out there! Slams is just a number! And everybody knows that..oh say, 90% of this roger's slams were collected over dodo and forgettable players of the past?? And oh can you guess what's the remainin 10%?? Let's just say..wins over Andre himself when he was old..and over Rafa, Nole, and Undy, when they were babies and inexperienced dodo players out there!!
@AdvantageYT

best ever in blowing matchpoints and collectin slams over forgetable dodo players. but when the best players came to the scenes, this weird spoken sneaky swiss, who reportedly got away from mandatory military obligations by reportin that he got a bad back, but then amazingly, for one who is supposed to have a bad back out there, went on to collect his overated slams by playin against mostly dodo players out there, got reduced to only a span of 8 straight years of winnin slams, sheesh!
@AdvantageYT

in a way, this weird spoken, weird head overated champ called roger and his resentful fanatics must be very very thankful that at the Aussie 2014, he wasn't on Novak's side of the draw, or else he woulda been beatin both Vavrinka and Novak out there, but then he would be cryin on Rafa' macho shoulders at the trophy presentation for Rafa's historic double grandslam win!

93football4life Not as impressive to since Nadal was already one of the best clay court players of all time by then. Plus clay is Federer's worst surface. In this vid Andy and Roger are both playing on their best surface.
@anonymousLeroy

93football4life Roger beat Nadal in 2007 Hamburg winning the third set comfortably 6-0 on CLAY. Nadal is a horrible matchup for Federer on any surface but grass, which helps explain why he has a 23-10 record against Fed. Yet when Federer shows up with his absolute best he castrates Nadal: Masters Cup 2007 (6-4, 6-1), 2011 ATP world tour finals (6-3, 6-0), etc... Of the four sets they've played that have been 6-0, three of them have been in winning efforts by Federer.

Haha... Roddick was trying everything, but nothing seemed to work... You kind of feel sorry for him, but at the same time you can't ignore the sheer elegance and perfection of each and every one of Federer's shots and returns. This guy is just AMAZING... I just wish he had a few more years left in his career. He's getting old, and his game is deteriorating fast. It would've been nice to see him square it off with Nadal (and maybe get a little bit ahead in their head-to-head record).
