If you were *really* intellectually honest you would admit there is zero scientific evidence for the supernatural creation of life.

Why would you lie and tell kids life is supernaturally designed when there is zero evidence for such design?

Yes! If they really wanted to help people, they could just make the portion of our property taxes that goes to public school optional for people who don't use the public schools. Pretty simple, but they want control so that's why they're making it complicated by us paying into it first so they can give it back with strings.

I have analyzed your KZbin channel and found that the main reason for the low views and subscribers is that the title, description, tags and thumbnail are not properly optimized. If you make them SEO friendly, present them attractively, your channel views will increase rapidly. If you want, I can analyze the data and suggest the right title, description, and thumbnail design. These changes will improve your channel's performance. Are you interested in learning more about this?

What a ridiculous claim. Even if we found a herd of living dinosaurs tomorrow that would do nothing to cast doubt on the age of the Earth or the fact virtually all non-avian dinosaurs went extinct 66 MYA.

This happens in Germany all the time. Kids forcedly taken away from parents and removed to foster care. And the parents not allowed to know where their children are. Just because the parents don’t want to send their kids to school.

I've homeschooled in Pennsylvania where we were required to submit a affidavit declaring our intent to homeschool listing our goals for the coming year for each child with the district superintendent, keep a daily log book for each child, compile a binder containing examples of their work from each subject and be evaluated by a certified teacher - all of which is also submitted for review by the district. Lots of hoops to jump through! We moved to Oklahoma and what a difference!! The state constitution states that it is "the parents responsibility to provide a quality education for their children." I report to no one. I'm in charge, not the state. Sure, there are those who abuse the privilege, but they are few and far between. Homeschooled children make fine adults with goals and responsibilities and the employers around here see it. They are more likely to show up for work (that's half the battle these days!) on time, do their job without drama and their intelligence level is often far above the local public school children.

I was guided to homeschool my children 10 years ago and now that my oldest is 16, (youngest is 11) we are in this strange space of being between 2 realities, for lack of a better word. They are used to freedom and flowing on their own schedules so I can't seem to acclimate them into this "1st world society" that's based on money. I don't want to either to be honest because they are still authentic. I can't afford to move onto a farm and live off grid. It's hard to explain. Does anyone else feel this way?

I agree, you can culture proof your kids by actively parenting. Be ahead of the game by knowing what is going on and staying one step ahead of your kids. I call it intentional parenting. Active parenting starts at birth and gets easier as they get older.

Her parents' conviction led them to homeschool - Love it! Just as the cathecism of the Catholic Church teaches us: "parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children..." In my personal experience, for years, I had felt the call from God to homeschool, but I had a lot of insecurities and was afraid of failing my children in their education. This semester, by the Grace of God, all those fears dissipated, and I have begun homeschooling my children. Thank you so much for this podcast and especially for this interview! It has reinforced my decision. Blessings, and please keep my family in your prayers. 🙏🏼

KZbin just deleted my comment that said SEL curriculum is New Age teaching. “ students instructed to move an object without touching it in any way. That is Astral Projection/ New Age!

I was wondering if you have ever spoken on the SEL program that they have introduced into the secular schools curriculum. I live in a small rural town in Kentucky and since I am a boomer, don’t have any kids in school. The parents don’t seem to have a clue that what SEL teaches kids is New Age propaganda. The local paper had an article about 3 rd graders doing a a task where two students were asked to move an object WITHOUT touching it!!! That is astral projection!!! 🤯😱🥲🙏🏻

All of those claims are objectively untrue. First of all, there’s plenty of evidence to show that a world wide flood as described in the Bible never happened. It would break most laws of physics for the biblical flood to have been a real historical event. The fact that fossils aren’t all buried in the same rock layer, as is what happens in incidents of localized floods, is proof enough that the world wide flood doesn’t explain any of the evidence we see. And second of all, the person who made the discovery of organic molecules inside of fossils, Mary Schweitzer, has openly stated that, despite being an evangelical Christian herself, she hates when young earth creationists try to use her findings to prove their bs, because the evidence simply doesn’t point to a young earth or world wide flood, unless you severely misunderstand or misrepresent her findings.

Thank you so much for this episode. Thank you for being honest and real and addressing this because many times we feel pressure to say that we are loving everything about homeschool, but we need to acknowledge the hard parts of it. And then not stay there, but ask the Lord for strength, perseverance and joy in it. I have had ups and downs, days where I LOVE homeschooling and days where I don’t love it at all. I don’t like using the word hate- it’s a strong word! But it’s been, and continues to be, a journey of me surrendering what I imagined my perfect homeschool life to be to the Lord and embracing what it is, and also learning to discipline myself to do the hard things too. You ladies are so real and encouraging and I love listening to you two. Thank you for what you do.

This is such a beautiful way to articulate it!🥰 I would always say we need to turn perceived deficits into assets - especially the “strong-will” we saw in our family cause it IS a good thing to be determined, unshakable, not easily swayed in your convictions , etc⬅️ it’s about which side we highlight. But the way you just said it🤩😍🤩 THANK YOU!!!

O God the Father of mankind, who hast given unto me these my children, and committed them to my charge to bring them up for Thee, and to prepare them for eternal life: help me with Thy heavenly grace, that I may be able to fulfil this most sacred duty and stewardship. Teach me both what to give and what to withhold; when to reprove and when to forbear; make me to be gentle, yet firm; considerate and watchful; and deliver me equally from the weakness of indulgence, and the excess of severity; and grant that, both by word and example, I may be careful to lead them in the ways of wisdom and true piety, so that at last I may, with them, be admitted to the unspeakable joys of our true home in heaven. Amen.
