I've seen this movie countless times and I liked the way in which in a civilized society people break up: without public scandals, with understanding, albeit with pain. Why do some people feel the need for adventure even though they are married and have small children? Probably the routine grinds their lives and they no longer feel like people, but just robots forced to perform tasks.
