I have been to this beach many times. The first time it was calm and was able to relax in a 5' deep pool formed in the lava with a few gentle waves refreshing the pool occasionally. It was so nice we came back the next day. Only to find 10' waves crashing over the rocks. A family group was already on the rocks and when the next big wave came they were all knocked down and dragged across the lava rocks.

PINK & ORANGE SHELLS are found here after high tide, usually at Queen's Pond.

I got one in my front yard. Just make sure you don’t plant it to deep the roots on these trees have to be able to breath. These are the tree that you see the roots on top of the ground. We made the mistake of putting dirt around the bottom and planting flowers and it almost killed the tree and even to this day 20 yrs later the roots still look crazy from us doing that because are roots grew out of that dirt to breath and are now sticking way up. And it a slow growing tree we had are for over 20 yrs and it still not what I would call really big. But than I heard that is what makes them really good trees that live for a really long time because of how slow they grow. And saying all this it is a really Beautiful tree. I don’t know if they really ever stop growing also. Am sure sooner or later it will take over my yard that isn’t really that large.

It is all fun and game’s until someone gets hurt. It looks fun, but I would think twice before going in there....

Its a natural creation and may be in the lasts centuries this waterfall got created naturally by volcano. mosts of the natural structure are found in hawai and iceland.
