@@seansurrey7253 also forgot to aske when you did the cats and exhaust did you have to get it retuned?

@@502ae502 Sorry I forgot that Magnaflow didn't use series numbers like Flow master but the exhaust shop that did it said it's equivalent to a Flow master 70 series just not as raspy. I use to have a Flow master 44 series I believe on it and it was raspy and so loud when towing a trailer the sound would be bouncing off the trailer and into the cab like crazy. I'll measure the Magnaflow sometime but it is a Dual 3" in and Dual 3"out muffler. I did Dual 3 inch from the headers to the back of the truck. And no retune needed still uses all the factory sensors before and after the cat's with no check engine light and there is a noticeable improvement in power since I did the exhaust. And I did also add a hyper tech power programmer that is about another 80HP and 100ft lbs of torque which is easily noticeable when towing and I only run premium fuel now with the programmer.

On another note too the stock exhaust for this truck was dual 3" from the exhaust manifolds to the giant muffler then a single 2.5" or 3" exhaust out. But then I had the whole exhaust system done from the Gibson Performance Headers I installed to the back in 3" Custom Mandrel bent exhaust with with the Magnaflow high flow cats and muffler at a local exhaust shop. I did allot of trial and error with running no cats vs cats, O2 simulators, dual 2.5" vs 3" exhaust(after the muffler), a couple different mufflers, and this is by far my favorite setup, most power, with great comfortable(not raspy) sound inside and out but can still be heard for a long distance( like miles in open areas or quiet towns). It's been the same exhaust setup for about 8 ish or so years now I believe and still wouldn't change a thing besides maybe just keeping the stock manifolds instead of the headers to reduce the under hood engine heat(or possibly wrapping them before I installed them, lol). I can try to remember all the details of when I tried everything if you'd like but that was back in 07 ish(I've had the truck since 05), but the biggest thing I can tell you is when I ran with no cats I had no bottom end to mid range torque.

Hi Sean did you ever get the part number? I'm having a hard time tracking it down. Dealer wants to replace the motor and that's a big price tag! Thanks.

I don't have the number for it I could try to get it again from Toyota one of these days this week but it will be different from the driver side one of your doing that one. No I did not remove any windows but I did roll the sliding door window down to access the plastic keeper from the outside to be able to take off the black trim on the back topside of the slider door. and also opened the rear vent window to be able to pop off the plastic cover at the back of the track held in by two plastic clips. then it's just 1 bolt to remove to get the rear cable off
@adchop9 жыл бұрын
Sean, do you have a part # for that cable unit? Someone else said that the rear window had to be removed to reach the rear bolt. Is that the case? TIA, James
