Been listening to Pena for years, but just so happens I found that exact video last week thru Dan Lok and when I heard him say he got a contract to sell jet fuel to the government…. I scratched my head and the light bulb turned on….. been obsessed the last week and half learning about contracting. Yesterday I realized how difficult it’s gonna be to start my own business from scratch so I concluded last night consulting will be the way. Funny that presentation is what pointed me in this direction

You better know your products and services and bids if you're going to get any contracts.

When you’re doing a construction contract can you you use the subs insurance to comply with contracting when writing the proposal?

Great point. I’m just beginning to build contracts knowledge into my skill set and finding people who can share this knowledge seems easy enough, but you’d be amazed at how difficult it’s been.

Yes. SOPs will save your hiney. Just start with what you’ve got. Write it all down and get your flowcharts and add to it as you learn from mistakes, seminars, chats within your networks, etc. And, btw… for those who may look at selling the business as an end game, you cannot do that without these SOPs, among other things. THAT is your business, not your contracts.

I worked in HR at a microchip manufacturing company in Washington back in the day, and we had a full contracted and subsidized cafeteria and Starbucks barista. Let’s just say… people went to work. I had also gained about 10 lb.🤭

I’m trying to get entry level jobs into contracting as an assistant first and build from there. It’s very difficult because even these entry level assistant jobs want years of contract experience, and that’s the whole point of taking their low paying position. Lol

Schools have major contracts with Scholastic and other book vendors. It may be worth researching city, district, county, and state contracts for the school systems in each jurisdiction.

This video needs way more views. Jeff Thull makes this argument in Mastering the Complex Sale. You need to do your research ahead of time to make sure that you know the customer and eliminate a possible bad fit and then “always be leaving,” which essentially means taking a “helping you” posture that can accept quickly when your product or service simply isn’t the right tool for their business issue. You, the salesman, may need to say, “I see that your company may not need our solutions at this time. I’m glad to see that.” But don’t waste their time forcing “your” sale. That’s bad business.

100% I was just talking about this with my sister. Everyone wants experience without accepting that experience MUST start somewhere.

Hi Eric! What percentage of services (estimated) would the company perform as the Prime Contractor? What percentage of services (estimated) would the company subtract to other firms? Would a higher percentage subbing out disqualify a prime?

Is "Interested Vendors List" on the lower left only for certain listings? I never can find that on anything I pull up
@Teaminkpixel7 күн бұрын
The ((nterested Vendors List )) may not be available on all listings. It could be specific to certain types of contracts or procurement processes.

if you are financially sound and financially ready - we will loan you 1 billion dollars... well ok... operative words when you are financially sound and financially ready - means we loan money to people who really don't need it
