If you want to remove ingrown toenails your self: when you are in the step of trimming the cuticle make sure you get a rasp and go under the ingrown nail with it and clean under. With the nail rasp, start pushing out the ingrown toenail gently. With toenail clippers clip the side of the nail that’s growing into your skin. Use cuticle nippers to move it side to side and gently pull it out. You can watch KZbin tutorials on how to do this as well 😁 make sure you’re soaking your toes to make it easier to remove the ingrown toenail. And when you remove it, clean the remaining buildup and dead skin. I hope this helped and you can relieve the pain. Also, if you don’t regularly do this it can lead to infection. Please keep up with the ingrown toenails. I’ve seen it personally with clients.

Ok, I know you said not to ask, but I need to know

I went to my podiatrist to surgical remove the in grown toes nail on both feet.

I push up my ingrowns with a tiny piece of moistened cotton and stick it up underneath. Then I put a gel x tip on it, and it’ll help keep them up and grow them upwards as they grow out.

You can round out the corners a bit instead of cutting them at an angle!

Some people do make it round sometimes and that is why you can get ingrowns, sometimes especially whenever you are cutting the edges like that

Licensed nail tech here: please be cautious of getting gel polish near your skin, it can cause you to get an allergic reaction and then you won’t be able to use it. Take a clean brush and alcohol to clean up around your cuticles before curing. Also using a small liner brush to fill in the sidewalls will help spread out the product a little easier.

I had ingrown toenails and I had a procedure done at the podiatrist. He removed the ingrown toenails and then put a solution that prevents that part from growing back. It took a couple weeks to heal but it was so worth it. Now I don't have to worry about it anymore

Keep them moisturized, make sure your shoes and socks aren't too small and for anything else I suggest finding a really good pedicurist like the meticulous manicurist on KZbin. I wanted to ask(as someone who has an accounting brain😅) did you factor in labour as a cost and if so how did you? Because I've got every cost calculated( down to how much lint free wipes I'll use for each nail set, VERY IN DEPTH I'd done about 4 business plans throughout school so that's probably why I'm overthinking it😳😅) it's just labor for me. I understand it will vary depending on the nail se but for a baseline, What formula did you use, because the usual way is an annual formula; which is usually Annual Labor Cost = Gross Pay + Annual Costs. Also did you work on hourly or not consider time but estimate. Thank and also even though this was a while ago your videos are a huge help thank you😁😊.

Don't you cut cuticles off? Don't you remove dead skin?

Definitely make sure you get a rasp to take out the dead skin under your toes, especially that ingrown one. It cleared up three of four of my big toe corners that were ingrown. I did the "surgery" myself on the fourth. Wouldn't recommend that though, I'm familiar with the procedure and had the tools and supplies for it. If it's seriously ingrown all the way down, you'll likely need surgery. But I reckon you can fix it with just the rasp. You'd be surprised how much gets stuck under there. All of our skin sheds quite a lot- it just gets trapped in this spot. Hope I helped!! Super cute and thorough job bestie, they look amazing 😍

I heard some people have success with putting cotton under the edge of the ingrown nail to push it upward as it grows. Only cutting straight across helped me a lot personally
