Love it! Get Naoki out in the dirt, love to see it. Drifting is obviously harder than it looks and I now have a new desire to try it.

Could i make it on 35s have sliders, high clearance front bumper w 12 k winch. Open difs. Feedback is appreciated 👍
@wildhorses4x4
@wildhorses4x4 2 күн бұрын
The open difs would make it pretty tricky in a couple areas…it depends on how comfortable you are with the gas pedal. If you’ve got tough components, maybe try it. If not, give us a call and we can work with you to get a plan together if you have a classic Bronco🤘🏽

So if the drivers side extended out more, you would rachet starp the driver side? basically the same thing. The reasin i ask is because my driver side sticks out .75 inch more. Thank you

The problem with flat tappet lifters is the way you run your equipment. Up until around 1996 everything had flat tappet lifters. And they didn't have the issues people complain about today. I have built many engines and never had an issue with flat tappet lifters on stock valve train. You want to run high lift with high spring pressures that exceed the cam manufacturer, that's your problem. You want to abuse you motor up on breakin, that's your problem. If you want to not use zddp in the oil, again that's your problem. I just watched a video where they are cutting the lifter bores on a 460 Ford to increase oiling. Again, I have had a couple 460's and never heard of lifter failure in them, unless you don't know what you are doing. Ford cams are notoriously harder than Chevy. So I think this is the mechanics not knowing what they are doing. Edelbrock cams are terrible just like their carbs, I would rather have a squirt gun. Buy a quality cam from Isky, crower, bullet,comp or a quality aftermarket if factory doesn't have a cam you like. Edelbrock has the smallest cam section of most any of them out their and they are Chinese cores

Does this thing not have sway bars that can be disconnected. Also, this is something I could have done with my Ford Edge. For something with such a long wheel-base and AWD I expected it to just coast to the hill.

I've had the same thing happen a few times ... the last couple times, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery has cleared all my dash lights..but one time, as I was doing a multi-point turn on a shelf road, facing the drop-off, the brake pedal went to the floor... thankfully with some quick pumping of the pedal, I regained pressure, but it scared the heck out of me. I do keep a can of wd-40 with me in case I need to open up and clean out the wheel sensor though.

@@iddddaduncan from what I understand, the computer overheats and sends the Bronco into limp mode. Basically it kills the lockers, and most other electronically controlled operations. I’d have to do a bigger deep dive into the issue, but that’s the gist of it

Ive personally repaired much worse axle failures in my hobby of rockcrawling and rock bouncing. Probably the best option is to get the torch inside the hub and cut away all the damaged parts of the spindle. If your hub isnt damaged there is no reason to cut it apart. Plus the hub is likely to be very expensive. If interested i can get you a great deal axle parts as i have numerous friends that own off-road axle fabrication businesses

You possibly could get a piece of steel then use a hydraulic jack with a chain and wrap it under the edge you can get. Only other option it grinding the piss out curve till it slides or falls. Probably grease and oil the piss out of it as well edit: might even be able to use a jack sideways and just apply pressure at the right spot on the grapple tool you used or 2 together. Or have it push into it and the bottom pushes the chain, better than tearing everything off with a torch and sanding it all nice
