What's the amp draw on that UV light so mobile people could use a power bank or inverter off their vehicle?
@glasweldАй бұрын
Hi there! Your 120V UV lamp draws about 0.3 amps. To use it with an inverter or power bank, look for one that can provide at least 0.3A at 120V. For better performance, we recommend an inverter or power bank with a capacity of around 100-200W. If you have any other questions, feel free to email our sales team at [email protected] or call us at (541)388-1156.
@chriscomfort1378Ай бұрын
You could just open the hood and save yourself some time taping.
@glasweldАй бұрын
Absolutely! Popping the hood is definitely an option to speed things up, especially for the top of the headlights. For the sides, a quick tape job can still offer that added protection. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.😉

does anyone know that this repair holds up when it is below zero in winter like Minnesota? when there are a lot of Contraction and expansion?
@glasweld2 ай бұрын
As long as the repair was done correctly and cured and hardened with UV light, it's good to go and will hold up under below-zero cold temperatures. If we can help further feel free to give us a call at (541) 388-1156 or email us at [email protected].

what if you still have scratches from your first start of sanding?
@glasweld2 ай бұрын
After using the first grit, the headlight may still look a little rough. The second grit will smooth it out more. If you take your time, work through all the grits, and trust the process, you should have a flawless finish. If we can help further, feel free to email us at [email protected] or call us at (541) 388-1156.

Hey man, at 10:20 & later in your video, when you say the job is completed, you can still see the whole “arc” in the windshield. Was there more work to do or is this the best that it gets?
@glasweld2 ай бұрын
Thanks for reaching out! The arc you're seeing in that shot is a reflection of light, but we understand it might look like the wiper scratch is still present. If you take a look at the last couple close-up shots of the inside and outside of the window, you'll notice that the scratch is no longer there. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call us at (541) 388-1156.

It is noticeable
@glasweldАй бұрын
Thank you for your observation-it’s a great question and one we’re happy to clarify. In that moment of the video, the light reflection can give the impression that the scratch is still there. If you look at the inside view, you’ll see the scratch has been fully removed. Reflections can sometimes create that effect, but please rest assured the repair was successful. We’re here if you have any further questions! Give us a call at (541)388-1156 or email us at [email protected].

how much for a repair like that?
@glasweld2 ай бұрын
The cost of long crack repair can vary, but roughly, it would be the cost of a rock chip +$10 per inch. For example, if you charge $100 for a rock chip and you're working on a 3-inch crack, you could charge $130. If you have further questions, please call us at (541)388-1156 or email us at [email protected]

Hello, thank you for your kindness, dear friend and brother. Thank you very much. I used to prepare resin from Ultrabond, and it has precipitation resin without the need for heaters and blowers. First of all, do you also have rain resin? And secondly, do your resins have a higher percentage of fading to repair cracks?
@glasweld2 ай бұрын
Hello, We don't sell rain resin as our testing shows they can incur risk and don't perform well. Instead, we encourage the use of proper techniques for evaporating moisture as it only takes a few minutes and ensures a solid repair. If you have further questions, feel free to contact our sales team at [email protected] or call us at (541) 388-1156.

To date, Ultrabond is the ONLY company that publishes official resin strength test results based on actual ROLAGS approved testing. If you can't publish official strength test results it's just talk. Generally speaking.... I've seen strength test results of Glasweld resin, Glass Weld resin will repair a chip up to about 80% to 85% the strength of new glass which actually creates a safety hazard. All repairs. need to be at a minimum, 100% the strength of new glass otherwise your repairs put the customer in danger in the event of a catastrophic wreck.
@doughanson31403 ай бұрын
Great info. Do you have any Rolags standard strength test scores?
