An easier method is to put the thread inside a paper fold it and cut the tip of paper (with the thread inside) into a sharp pointed edge, then slide into the eye and pull the tip off.
@goldenhinde-goldworkembroi6080Ай бұрын
might try that one and put it up at some later time, thanks for the top tip 😍😍

If you're a confirmed 'licker' as I am, never fear - you pull the licked bit right through so it becomes the bottom end you can tie your knot on it, or else once it's through your needle cut off the spitty bit and there you go! ❤❤❤

I never take out the bits that go awry, as everyone has trouble with their threads, so i always leave those bits in and very often say whats happened and why, nobody is perfect. 😍😍
@goldenhinde-goldworkembroi6080Ай бұрын
Well spotted though, 🤣🤣

I always leave bits in like that, for fun and if i have made a mistake, others will make the same mistake and i like to explain whats happened and why. 😍😍

what is the knot for?
@markbahouth27135 ай бұрын
Without a knot at the end of the thread 🧵 the thread at the opposite end of your needle 🪡 will just slip through the fabric . The knot is essential in the craft of sewing .

Wow thank you, the 3rd one I didn't know about. Do you show one with doubled thread? As in looped end to end. ❤️
@goldenhinde-goldworkembroi60807 ай бұрын
Hi, thank you for your message. I don't have a video for the double thread, but the second and third method are done in exactly them same way, with a doubled thread. I use a much finer thread for stitching than the stranded cottons, so i always use it double and i mainly use the second method, its my go to method of knotting.

Can I ask how you set up a hoop. On some stitches it seems like the white fabric included in the kit is behind the silk. Is this so? If so do you use it doubled or single and then tack it over to protect the back of the work after?
@goldenhinde-goldworkembroi60802 жыл бұрын
I don't know how i missed your comment, you tube doesn't make it very clear. We don't tend to use hoops we use bar frames, is it a hoop specifically you were after seeing set up? You can watch our bar frame set up, hopefully this will give you the information you need. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2SopJ5om56ehtk
@Isilsartari762 жыл бұрын
@@goldenhinde-goldworkembroi6080 It has helped me as I can see that the white fabric is indeed a backing used before the stitching starts so that the stitches go through both layers. Thanks. I will be using a hoop probably unless I buy a bar frame. Thanks for the link to the other video.

@goldenhinde-goldworkembroi60802 жыл бұрын
I don't know how i missed your comment, you tube doesn't make it very clear. No i only used about 3 strands for the nose, I hope you worked it out for yourself. It would be great to see what you created.
