Josh’s strategy is actually one of my favorites. I don’t think it’s a strategy that is really good and can only work depending on who the Jury is. But I love watching Paul play, and watching Josh throw him under the bus eviction after eviction while playing like he’s Phillip Shepard from survivor was truly my favorite thing he could’ve done.

We have to understand that this game is about perspective. CBS doesn’t give much grace to players who lay low unless they’re comedic while doing so (hence why Will was given so much credit in his season) Initially, I felt the same way you did. I actually felt Tyler was robbed, and then I rewatched season 20 and paid more attention to Kaycee and was fascinated with her style. You’ll notice she has a similar social game to Enzo, she rarely talks strategy and only makes connections and jokes for the first few weeks. As the season progressed, any time she was questioned she could lie her way out almost instantly, it was very impressive, her acting skills impressive. Then in the “fourth quarter” of the game, she used the same tactic that Bunky did from BB2, she started going hard at competitions, the remaining players already had their eyes set on other targets bc she never talked much strategy, so it didn’t even matter to them that she was grinding out comps because they felt she wasn’t a threat. She played a phenomenal game, very underlooked. Although she isn’t that entertaining within the show, she knows the game. I’d recommend watching season 20 over again

I agree Today Will’s strategy would not fly like it did. I do still consider him top 5, personally top 3. What makes him such a great player isn’t his strategy but more so the fact that he improvised this strategy as fast as he did right after his initial plan didn’t work. That alone is worthwhile, not to mention the reads he has on people are almost always spot on

I think a modern day Dr. Will would look something like Brett Robinson from BB20 just with a little more social game

@@jayministry5643 I mean, the Hitmen were stringing Caleb along for literally 3/4ths of the season, and I do think Derrick would have taken Victoria had he won and he thought Cody could beat him. But ofc he dominated the game, so he didn’t have to worry about that.

I didn’t go into deep analysis with the strategy laid behind his speech but there was a lot. He was character building a persona the whole time he was in the house so people wouldn’t perceive him as any sort of threat. The speech was only a segment of the entire thing. If you ever get a chance to watch back the bb7 live feeds, I would highly recommend it.

I could talk about it here I guess for a little bit. I intend on making a video on this in the near future A lot of people say he did the same exact thing he did his first time around and that is very false in my opinion. They’re similar in some ways but both of his strategies differ from each other. Will already used a strategy in bb2, most of the ideas he set in place were a result of “trail and error” the “everyone hates me and I love it” strategy in bb2 was good and very entertaining but it wasn’t as planned per-say as the strat he used in bb7. He’s very intelligent and was lucky enough to participate in a game with people who appeal to strategic element over emotional element. In bb2, and skip this till you see “BB7” if you want to just read on what he did for BB7. In Big Brother 2, Will had no idea what to expect and used his expertise in psychology and human behavior to help himself advance further in the game. Most of his game was guesswork and theory. He didn’t know they were going to actually work, and some of those strategies almost got him evicted.

If u mean get lucky to get carried to the end and then again getting lucky because the jury was so outsmarted that they refused to give it to the clear best player? Then yes her "strategy" was great 😆. About as great as Josh's from BB19 who also won for the EXACT same reason. If you win because of a bitter jury then u can never be talked about as strategic.

@@AkronJosh she didn’t win due to a bitter jury all of her votes were for her. Plus she clearly outplayed Paul and a majority of the cast for most of the game. She was a major decision maker in those early rounds and is one of the major reasons Jozea and Victor go home, then she is in the majority group working under Paulie but she was in a great position in that group, not being a threat that the opposition would target while having great relationships with people like Paul Paulie and Corey. The low point in her game was when she was on the outs when Paulies game collapses, but she recovered beautifully. She along with Corey joined forces with Natalie and James, and along cane Michelle for that round, to target Paul and Victor, and Victor went home (side note, after Paul won veto, Corey was put up as the replacement, not Nicole, showing how good her positioning was). When Victor returned to the game again immediately after, Nicole and Corey now sided with Victor and Paul to make up the majority, and Nicole won HoH. She made the optimal move in getting Michelle out and nominating Paul with her. Now that 4some, with the 3 best competitors in the game, made up the majority, and Nicole was the centerpiece of that majority. She and Corey were able to run the table from that point forward, getting out Victor at the right time. The one big flaw in her game is that she was playing a losing game. She planned on getting to the end with Corey who she pretty easily loses to. But when Paul wins HoH at 4, Corey gets taken out, which you can also give credit to Nicole for not being targeted there. And then she gets Paul to ruin his game for her and he takes her to the final 2 over James who he easily beats. Overall not only did Nicole play a good game, she easily played a better game than Paul did in bb18. Paul was rarely ever in control, was at the bottom multiple times in the season, makes some bad strategic decisions (most notably at the final 3), and is actively saved by Victor returning to the game twice. In no way did Paul outsmart the jury, lose to a bitter jury, or play the best game of that season. Nicole got 5 votes for her and deserved to win the game
