This is my neighbor of 20 and 70 years ago. It is disappointing that you only walked up Broadway. You would have revealed a different, but equally interesting flavor by traversing the side streets and the other avenues -- Riverside Drive, Amsterdam Ave., Convent, St. Nicholas and Edgecomb Ave. Some of the most beautiful streets in New York; a different vibe.

Wow, my wife and I lived in 1050 Park Avenue from 1968 to 1987, raising two children, and our son and his family still live in the neighborhood. Memory Avenue! Thank you for sharing!

I’m 87. I was raised in Orange, but my aunt and uncle, and four cousins, lived in Old Greenwich. We loved the red dogwoods in the spring. And then, my wife and I bought a condo there in 1984, when I joined the church.

Too bad you didn't cross the street where the Old Town Hall is, a huge 1800s structure that covers the corner of two streets that meet just where the front steps are. Beautiful inside! Just passed it is Saint John's Basilica that artists who painted the Rockefeller Center and the Grand Central Station created an amazing work of art out of a tired 150 year old structure. Maybe next time. Welcome to my home town. 👍
