Rawest licks ever. But what I'd like to hear without the group is that Spanish fly.... wait a sec...

Someone needs to compile an ENTIRE playlist of EVH isolated, every Van Halen song. Some radio station should play it non stop
@johndannenbrink7590Күн бұрын
I hear every guitarist in this. EVH, a symphonic genius. Mostly I love old school Texas sound personified in Jimmy Vaughan who flies totally under the radar. But man, Eddie packs it ALL in. ALL.

Is this new? Haven't heard the raw unmixed solo before...
@DopeGuitarTracksКүн бұрын
yes, its the unmixed guitar solo, like before reverb was added. the one that's already on youtube is the isolated track from guitar hero

Ridiculous tone. So much coming from the rig, but even more from his chord/note choices and dynamic touch. His choice of everything is just so totally on the money.

Ed was as great at rhythm as he was at lead. Only Wolfie compares. This track shows that . RIzP Edward !

Man I forgot how good they sounded. This is a hot live track!!
Anyone catch Alex's mistake? At 1:15, Alex is playing double time. But after his drum fill at 1:22, he begins the part playing 4/4 but quickly realizes and brilliantly shifts into double time.

Only thing I hate is you can never hear the bass drum, or "kick". Always a thing.

RIP Father Eddie VH. However, thank you GOD, that Father Alex VH is still alive and well. Also, a very cool person AND a very amazing drummer. One of the world's best IMHO along with others like Peart and Bonham. Legendary as he and Eddie clicked so good musically and as brothers united. Cheers.

In so many ways, what Ed is playing is so simple, so basic, but yet NOONE other than EVH sounds like that . All the shredders most the point.

What a great groove and rhythm guitar playing,, Likker tones... Michael was so good on bass.. Why would Ed say he had to teach him every part.. Fame will turn you evil.. SAD..

Just hearing this for the first time. Even with only ROOM MICS, the levels and balance of the sound is phenomenal. +1 on someone's earlier comment on putting together a VH anthology with outtakes, instrumental only, etc.

What was the gear used to record this Sounds like marshall jcm 800, some kind of chorus and delay with a lil reverb and humbuckers Anyone know for sure?

The crazy chords, awesome arrangement and tone. This recording just proves Ed’s genius. Non musicians might think this song is simple (while also thinking it a great song), but hearing this song like this makes musicians drool and realize how complex it really is (as well as realize that if they’ve ever claimed they could play this song exactly like Ed, they were dead wrong!!)
