U have to make sure your fundamentals of core subjects are strong, like DBMS, COMPUTER NETWORKS, OOPS, OPERATING SYSTEM. Not completely because you are still in 2nd year of engineering, but make sure you have a basic idea of them.. Most important is coding and DSA. Make sure to spend a lot of time preparing coding.
