It is. There’s very few steam locomotives still operating, and those are mostly standard gauge. Both of the locomotives at Dollywood have two surviving siblings. 192 has 190 at Tweetsie Railroad, and 70 has 73 up at the White Pass and Yukon Railroad in Alaska.

I haven’t seen that engine for so long this engine used to be on the stone mountain railroad and was one of the only two baldwin 4-4-0’s built with a valve rod

If you’re talking about the summit where they blow the whistle, then there used to be a lot of stuff there. The area was originally covered in trees and shrubbery. They removed all of it so that people could see the locomotives blowing their whistles. There also used to be a small cabin in the middle of the loop. I’m unsure as to why they removed that, but it’s sadly no longer there.

For anyone saying “That’s the Virginia & Southwestern 3 chime,” I know. I just like to call it a Ps-4 whistle because of how similar it is to the official ones. The V&SW, after all, is essentially a modified Ps-4 bell on a Nathan 6 chime bowl.

Looks like you got a good video here. I got to ride 4501 in the cab on my visit here last year. 630 was waiting on a part to be repaired, but I still got to see her too while she was parked outside. This video is somewhat well timed as I just posted a KZbin Short of NC&St.L 710 on the turntable with music added.

Not really. They’re going to use the Princeton for the days when they’re not running the evening trains. From what I’ve heard, the V&SW is just going to be on it for a few more trips and then they’re gonna take it off and put it on 630.

Great video! I got there last August on my Southern E8 safari. I got pix of 3 of the 4 remaining , including the ex NJT unit up in Oak Ridge. . I hadn't seen 630 and 4501 since the 70's! They were great. I got to Duluth GA the next day to photograph 6901.The videpos are on my channel. Enjoy. I have subbed. Scott

At 9:46, I personally couldn’t agree more! I really hope TVRM puts the Crosby 3 chime back on 630 at some point. I don’t overall hate the Central of Georgia 6 chime, but seeing as its been on 630 since August of last year, I really thought it would’ve had a different whistle.
