My entire neighborhood is lined with crepe myrtles and unfortunately they ALL are badly infested. I am trying to get HOA on it, but I wrote up a letter to the neighborhood instructing people to at the very least start spraying their trees.

There's a GAZILLION ROOTS BENEATH THE SOIL that haven't been pulled... Are you going to have a front loader come in and take that soil and root system out totally and replace it with new soil... If not ...what's to prevent The ivy just eventually growing up into all the new plantings you're arranging... I'M 74 AND CAN'T FUSS WITH THAT IVY ANYMORE AND I ONLY WANT TO REMOVE IT ONCE... Any input would be greatly appreciated as to how to approach this (I already had a professional come in with some kind of little machine with a claw front that grabbed all the ivy off of the huge plot... Visually it's clean but not below the soil...??? HOW TO PROCEED? THANK YOU 🙋🌹 GA USA YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND MUST HAVE A WONDERFUL MARRIAGE TO ACTUALLY HELP EACH OTHER DO THAT IVY COVERED BANK!!!

Thank you so much! I have a small citrus tree, calamundi, I have it 2,5 years now. In the summer I put it outside and bring it in for the winter. And I noticed sticky subtance on the leaves and stem and little green-red dots. I thought it were "wounds" from insects or slugs but they're actually the insects themselves. I had never heard of it before so I'm thankful for this information.

Spraying them with straight isopropyl alcohol seems to work really well and it doesn’t hurt the plant ...I’m really surprised

Evidence is beginning to indicate that this insect is the cause of the condition that is being called "Morgellons." It involves, crawling, stinging, itching, lesions that will not heal and microscopic filaments that appear to be fungal-like in nature. Coloured fibres and sand-like grains come out of the skin. (fungal hyphae & eggs??) It is a quiet pandemic all over the world and is not being investigated properly. I have reasons to believe that Coccoidea has found a new host, humans. I believe I know how this is happening. Though the increase of its presence in agriculture and gardens and soil. The insect can penetrate human skin with the piercing organ it uses to attach itself to plants and trees. Coccoidea (soft scale insects) is a flat sesame seed-like insect that has infested trees all through America and the world. They eventually kill the tree and are a huge problem for the Agricultural industry. They infest many different other types of plants and excude a thick clear viscous liquid that turns to something that is like a varnish when it dries. This is called Honeydew. "Morgellons" sufferers all have this coating on their scalps and skin. Coccoidea can live in the soil and I think its possible it picks up Coccidiodes and creates Coccidiomycosis in humans when it penetrates the skin. Here are some links to videos which explain the life cycle of this insect, and how they normally attach themselves to plants. The honeydew they excrete also attracts and grows black mold. These bugs can be present on the body and be assumed to be skin tags or tiny moles. I will include the product that removes them on plants and also on the body revealing sores where they were attached and where the nymphs fed while sheltered underneath the attached female. The product to remove the honeydew is ETHYL ALCOHOL70% and over ...which is in most hand sanitiser . If you have had this for over a few months the film, especially on the scalp will be very thick. I used WD40 all over my scalp, left it on with a shower cap for an hour and washed it off, then started picking at it. It took a month together it all off. Then I used the hand sanitiser on any suspected lesions to stop it building up again. The product that removes the attached adult females which are covered in honeydew and attached by their proboscis which hurts like hell when inserted ...is concentrated POTASSIUM SALTS OF FATTY ACIDS 285GRMS/LTR...which is a plant/garden soap.....rubbed all over a moistened body, left on for an hour and then scrubbed with a nail brush or loofa under the shower. Within 2 days lesions will become visible as the groups of feeding adult females is removed by the garden soap. The best insecticide for crawlers or nymphs is an insect spray that contains D-ALLETHRIN. RAID One Shot Insect Killer is one brand in Australia. This is the same ingredient that is in Spregal the successful mite killer made in France. These three stages of treatment will kill the insect on the surface in adult form and nymph form and the ethyl alcohol will remove the film eventually with manual scraping as well. I imagine the Ethyl Alcohol will kill off any surface coccidomycosis as well. I have personally taken Itraconazole for 6 months but that was before I found posts by a guy who alerted me to this insect's involvement. The next concern is the lesion area below the epidermis, some of which can go very deep. I would think that regularly taking an anti-parasitic would get to those. I use Moxidectin once a month. Dose for weight horse paste. This regime has the only true chance of full success I have found. It may take a year and then one more year to ensure every tiny speck is gone. I think the help will come when agricultural scientists realise this pest has jumped from parasitising trees and crops to humans.....then I am guessing the medical community my pronounce it implausible. I am not waiting for that. Here is the post that initiated this idea. @t Here is the life cycle diagram of Coccoidea (soft scale insect) (note winged stage) @t Details on habits and attachment. @t @t soft someoneenough

You are so right in your discovery of this f***** "killer bug" if it doesn't end up killing us from disease. It will drive us totally insane. Then we won't be responsibile.😢😮we😮😂😢. .

I’m pretty sure these guys completely destroyed all my Swiss chard this year. Never had a problem previously. It was a very wet summer. Maybe that was it. Nothing seemed to affect them! I ended up bagging all my plants hoping they would die in the heat of the bag.
