Why did they change the lyrics... The best part of the song is when he screams lies we've all been compromised..... That's so powerful and yet he doesn't do it once in the song... As far as I'm concerned you can take that song and throw it in the gutter cuz it's ruined

Halloween is to some people a very spiritual and magickal time of the year; for some it’s a time of fun and candy, perhaps a way to celebrate Fall in general. Still for others, perhaps a time to contemplate their own mortality, since the modern holiday mocks death. With the beginning of the dark half of the year, it is also a time to play on a few of the basic/core fears of humankind - fear of what lurks in the dark, and fear of death. Some perhaps are not quite sure what to make of it and prefer to steer clear of it; but however you wish to celebrate it….or not - Halloween is only ‘evil’ in the minds of those who choose to make it so. I completely fail to see why this day is feared so much by certain people.

I attended McLean Bible Church for over 6 years, until I heard Lon say from the pulpit that "God doesn't want you to marry outside your religion or outside your race." A subtle thread of intolerance there, that I'd thought was my own misinterpretations of things I'd heard said, including things about Muslims and gays, was suddenly brought in to focus. Lon once belonged to Olympus Gym where I worked, and there I saw a very human side of him that he hides at church.
@asingleton82957 жыл бұрын
What was Lon's justification for such teachings? Was it biblical or spiritual in any way? Or just a cultural belief he mixed into his teachings because he had the pulpit?

I got a cassette tape of his story of growing up, through his college years to coming to Christ. It really helped me along in my Christian walk, and am glad to share his story and mine with others to help them find Jesus. God bless you Bro. Lon!

I LOVE McLean bible.. I have never seen this!!! I have been attending since 2004.. He is literally the reason I stay in the DC area. I am so involved with this church.. bible studies, motorcycle ministries.. I LOVE serving with McLean. If you don't like "mega" churches.. then you are not connected.. there are SO many opportunities to get connected.. just. do . it. God will bless you and so many others!

MBC's Policy on those two issues that we talk about it when it comes up in our teaching on Sunday, then we move on and don't dwell on it. About politics he says "Vote for the person that you believe represents Christian values." which puts in their hands.

G-d is so good! May G-d continue to lead pastor Lon, and may he continue to have a great ministry (with hopes he'd consider Messianic ministry for the large number of Jews (including himself) who attend his church).

sorry man, but thats a lie. there are like 20 different sections of the church such as connect, women's ministry, mens ministry, city impact... women lead a lot of those branches. And the Israelis were looking for a messiah so thats why he said the messiah to Israel.
