They actually removed it on reddit cause it's "harming the Trackmania community" lmao If Ubisoft weren't so greedy, their game would absolutely skyrocket right now cause of deep dip, but no they have to put it behind a paywall

@@LawaCCG ehh I don't think so. If people are coming solely because of Deep Dip, and it was available for free, few would buy the game. It makes sense that the r/Trackmania community wouldn't want people as widely aware of a way to circumvent paying for the game to access Club features. I don't blame them for that and it's very likely that Nadeo/Ubisoft didn't make the call to remove it from the subreddit, but rather the community leaders/mods there made that decision. More likely, plenty of people have installed the game to check it out, played the free Campaign to feel out the game, and then decided to buy Club access to get Deep Dip and all the other fun content the game has to offer. I am one of those players who finally caved in and installed Trackmania due to Deep Dip hype and ended up buying Club access. The fact they leave this "unpatched" at all is a non-greedy act IMO; it seems like this has been known about for some time and it'd be relatively easy to stop this from happening. I'd still have bought Club access with this being a well-known method but still, cannot fault the devs for wanting people to buy the game to get the majority of the game. It's nice that free content exists at all.

just gonna copy&paste my comment here as a reply: I don't think they will ""patch"" this, people who have the money and like the game will still buy Club access since it is nowhere near a Club replacement and here's why: >You have to do this whole process every time, for every map - it's cumbersome and time-consuming if you want to play more than 1 or 2 maps >No multiplayer at all >Can't save any of your times to the leaderboard (not connected to the servers) >Still can't use skins >Can't do campaigns, etc.. The only people who are going to do this method are people who weren't going to buy Club access anyway. They have basically nothing to gain by patching it, it would just upset poorer or more casual community members who could eventually get invested enough to buy Club.

@@theSato While this is all true and I completely agree with you, they've already patched other ways to play custom maps, like through hotseat, so I think their greed will still blind them. Making Deep Dip f2p would be the best decision they could ever do, but that doesn't seem what they're going for.
