The whole recital (where this recording is from) was recorded, but since the recording of the recital was never transferred in tape or digital, except for the unreleased tape from RCA, we can’t find the private recording of this recital unlike the other Yale Collection recordings. Only recordings we could find of this recital are Polonaise No. 1 by Chopin, and two consolations of Liszt (Nos. 4 and 5) which BMG released under the RCA and Carnegie Hall (BMG Classics RCA Red Seal 9026-62643-2). Also the program of this recital is from the Carnegie Hall website, which is a more believable source than the Horowitz Website (because Carnegie Hall website had accessed the original program book. Horowitz Website founded the program from the newspapers, as I know). But because there is no information about the encores in any kind of sources except the original recording, the encores are still unknown.

Finally, I am Back. I was in a shelter, because of some kind of crime victim, where I couldn’t use any device, including my laptop and my phone. Now I can, and will start my project again. Also I have lots of other ideas, which will make my channel even better. Please wait for my new videos! Thanks for waiting!

Radio Broadcast: April 23, 1944: Carnegie Hall, New York City, New York (Live) · Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No.3 in D minor, Op.30 [first few minutes and piece of second movement missing] 있습니다. 물론 컬렉터들 사이에서 존재는 알려졌기 때문에 - My deep thanks to Francis Crociata, who finally identified the source of this recording. Horowitz also performed this concerto at Carnegie with Rodzinski on November 25, 1943, but this recording comes from the later of the two performances.

At the begin of the Bach/ Busoni I hear the same dissonance as in the 9.5.65 performances. I ask the question: Did Horowitz really make a mistake in 1965 or did Bach compose a sharp dissonance which only Horowitz had the courage to play with THAT character.
@Vladimir_Horowitz
@Vladimir_Horowitz 12 сағат бұрын
It is a mistake. Horowitz wanted to edit that mistake at the 1965 performance, but he wanted to make the live album with low edit. But he still made some other editing, more in the Schumann Fantasy at the same album. Also, in other recordings from the 1965 rehearsal, he does not have any mistake at that opening

He is Alexander Merovitch, manager of Vladimir Horowitz, Nathan Milstein, Piatigorsky. He started working with Horowitz at 1926, and worked until 1934. Because of him, Horowitz could have his debut in Europe

@Vladimir_Horowitz
@Vladimir_Horowitz 10 сағат бұрын

Mendelssohn is so often considered a lightweight - but his music is pure joy - and can be fiendishly difficult to play well. When Horowith plays it it´s a respectful nod from genius to genius - pure bliss.
