Beautiful! Can you play middle eastern music with it? I have a ney and duduk but I have such a hard time getting sound from them.
@scottaugustАй бұрын
I don't know enough about middle eastern music to say for sure, but I doubt it. This flute will basically play in a major pentatonic, and except for a minor 3rd does not play chromatic notes. For example, it can't play a Phrygian dominant scale. The Xiao would be a much better choice. Thanks for listening.

QUESTION: So I’m making videos for Hospice patients and/or bedridden people - (all volunteer) but my budget is very limited - I was researching the Boss 505 MKII - but was wondering if you had to buy equipment, (I have some musical instruments already) what devices would you buy to record with? I have an old Mac, too, if that helps with your decisions. 😅 I’m just going to upload them on here for them to watch. Thank you for your advice. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I use Ableton Live 12. If you are on a budget there is FL Studio, but I have not used it. Unfortunately making music costs money.
@chicksgrowtoo2 ай бұрын
Thank you! I’m sorry I thought I subscribed to you already. I mean the budget isn’t super-super tight, so I’ll definitely check them out. I have heard good things about Abelton. Thank you so much, and thanks for the amazing tunes! 🙏🏼🦋🦋🦋

Always enjoy watching your videos especially the ones where it shows you composing the songs, always interesting. Really appreciate your playing style and compositions. Met you many years ago at Musical Echoes in Fort Walton Beach Florida. Actually talked with you a little bit while waiting in a restaurant when all the performers and vendors gathered for dinner. Please keep the videos coming, I always recommend them to others. Joey

Nice new song, amigo! Your video is quite interesting. I hope all is well with you. You, me, and Ed had a lot of FUN TIMES back in the day. I hope you still have fond memories of that. Can anyone further explain the overtone analysis? Purple and green bars are topped with with boxes, in each of which is a yellow line. What does that indicate?
@scottaugust5 ай бұрын
I believe it is just giving you and average reading given that the bars can move quickly. The boxes and red lines remain behind to help see that. At least, this was always the way I interpreted them.
Stunning visuals with a new sound and guitar in the mix! Sounds fantastic!

Scott....Betty showed me Latitudes on her laptop last night. Today, I one-upped her by playing your stunning work on the TV with sound bar and bass woofer. It blew both of us out of the water. It made a beautiful soothing respite from today's news. We had a nice relaxing dinner with you in the background. It'll be a repeat performance many times! Thanks for creating the experience! And commenting again... just listened again to Buffalo Dance .. Love that song and how you produced it as well.. but your playing to me is just simply amazing.. I so miss u at NRF. I know since our lovely (NOT) former governor and now Senator from FL cut out arts money from the schools and all programs, that NRF has had virtually nothing but private donations for running that fabulous festival and that means they cant pay expenses for great pros like you to come.. makes me ill. I loved it when I saw you there each year for several years..
@scottaugust7 ай бұрын
Unfortunately festival take a lot of money to put on and the arts seem to be underfunded everywhere. I appreciate your kind words about my music and playing. Thanks!
