Brian Lyle of Virginia. Jason Mick of Virginia. Jeremy Walmer of Pennsylvania. Eric Dicken of Virginia. Not pictured in this performance Ray Carey of Virginia. All names every trumpet player in the region knew in the late 90’sand early ‘00s. Even in GREECE!

And of course Mr. Jason Dovel of the Shenandoah Valley and now at UK. With Brett Dodson. Great job fellas

Goss is joined by Logan Massey of Virginia and Matt Vangjel now teaching at LSU

This is @ William and Mary and that is the UNPARALLELED John Goss from southern Virginia on trumpet. A total beast of a trumpet player. JMU MRDS do it better than anyone at the mic. Shout out to Mick, BLyle and Ray too!

Loved playing this 1980 in Sky Ryder's Drum and Bugle Corp. Then at ECU in Oklahoma. Pretty sure this is the same arrangement. So nice

Probably arranged by Larry Clark. He did most of the MRDs stuff.

Who arranged this particular version? It's my favorite.

This is by far the best version of this song that JMU did. The trumpets these days can't hang...this line up of trumpets is beast!!!!!!!!! Lip slurs like a mo.....

Loved the trumpet soloists! They were awesome! Overall it was a pretty nice job, but I just wish it still had some of blaring mellophone stuff of the original. Not bad, though!

For the record, it does - I'm in here somewhere and it's not coming through on the recording. But we were damned loud on the field!
