Want it to sound good not sound old. I might say farther out from the piano; but, it sounds pretty good like this.

Thanks for bringing Broadwood to life. Their baby grands didn't change design since the early 20th century and are really lovely. They work well in unequal temperament too.

I FIGURED OUT WHAT'S WRONG WITH ALL THIS. On traditional pianos the bass gets so muddy you have to basically just stick to playing octaves. On this piano, it's so clean that the bass octaves actually sound thin. The pianists should consider throwing in fifths or even thirds. (I've designed synthesizer software and consider myself kind of a professional listener on matters like this. In my youth I played several of the works on this channel including this.)

I like his touch with the repeated notes but I think I phrased it a lot better than this.

This is the first performance on this piano I haven't cared for. The low bass is so clean it actually makes the piece sound overly simple. Also I've played this in my youth and I did it REALLY differently so in part I just don't like that, though I do recognize this guy has a definite voice with it which I respect.

Did you think about making one down to 32ft C, like the Bösendorfer 290, but with "true" string lengths? The sound must be so clean in the lowest register.

Why bichords for the lowest notes? There is a place for a third string, were they too close together and bumping against each other, or something else?
