I'm sorry bro, but this looks like the kind of martial arts that only works on someone who isn't fighting back. It's a complete joke.
@versatilefightingarts6 ай бұрын
thanks for the comment- in any of the training sequences it is important to understand that what is presented is a series of concepts/ principles and their application. While we have pressure tested these for years with speed and intent - the greatest value is in understanding why and how each individual concept works and is applied.

Look man, I'm not trying to be a dick but I've been fighting for 25 years and none of what you presented has any remote possibility of working with any resistance. For 1) in a real fight, you will never get a hold of someone's elbow and if by miracle you did, unless it's a child you won't be holding on to it. 2) you don't have time to go through a whole sequence of attacks. 3) even of someone was stationary, you picked the worst attacks on someone. For example, you wouldn't use the back of your thumb to "slice" someone unless your on your way to a rear naked choke and you have your "hooks" in, you wouldn't use your elbow to "slice" the neck, you would instead use it on the face with your entire body turning in to give power. 3) your guillotine is completely wrong. The way you did it would give your opponent space to get out and would be totally ineffective. These are just a couple of points.

Great teaching video! Would you modify your initial block if the opponent is using a forceful downward icepick type strike? Thank you .

yes- I most always look to parry, redirect- some angles of course work better than others

randomly got this video...no disrespect but how is this 'fighting' art? they talk90% and then swipe and slap hands a few times
@versatilefightingarts Жыл бұрын
No disrespect for honest questions- this is a clip from the class highlighting the “teaching” phase- the practice sessions are not shown. Concepts are taught with layered explanations to help facilitate understanding . One does not learn as much by going full force from the beginning….understand the concepts and nuances of how to execute.
