So does it work straight away with any tv. Im thinking of the 2.1 hdmi with 1 slot. I have couple years old 8k samsung tv and wondering if i need anything else than the 2.1 with 1 slot. Or is it just plug and play type of thing. And is there any difference in 2.0 or 2.1 or is it better to just go with the 2.1. Oh and also would you recommend this to be like a low key kind of thing so it would add a bit and not blow my eyes out watching something like interstellar? Hey Steve - Great job on the review. You actually answered my question regarding multiple devices plugged into an AVR. Sounds like all you really need is one HDMI port on the box that you can connect the receiver to, which should mean no need to buy an hdmi splitter. Couldn't find any info anywhere on Fancyled's site about this. One of my big concerns are whether or not Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and other AVR technologies are impacted by this box. Is any functionality lost at all? I might pick one up and play around with it.

I used to love using Klipsch speakers or anything from them really, they came with a great sound for a great price. Since I tried a pair of large audiophile grade bookshelf speakers from another brand I never went back to Klipsch sound. Keep your mind open. I learned that a 4 ohm speaker will never sound as good as an 8 ohm speaker, as an 8 ohm will have bigger everything in it - in the drivers - the magnet, voice coil thus needing more power to move these quality parts and resulting in great quality sound. Klipsch's business is like Walmart's - sell many products at a great value, but not necessarily at great quality. Once I heard other speakers, Klipsch became an OK sound. It's a good starting system, to get a good sound initially, but not for long. A good brand to look into is SVS, especially their new Evolution speaker line. I have a 100" ALR projection screen, DIY HiVi Swans speakers for L and R, Micca RB-42C for center and in ceiling Surrounds and Atmos from OSD audio - all 8 ohm speakers. Every speaker sounds better than any 4 or 6 ohm speaker I've tried from brands like Klipsch, Q Acoustics or Neumi. Also, if you're not using at least 14 AWG OFC copper speaker cables, you haven't heard your speaker's true sound, I suggest going 12 AWG for LCR. Just a few things I learned going through this HT / Music journey. If you're curious to learn more, look up what a DAC is, if you like music to sound great. ;) Good luck!

hey budy! came back to tell you.... Upgrade is complete. I got the Denon 3800, the Martin Logan F2 series, and Martin Logans all around, I just had to get the Motion C10, center channel with woven fiberglass cone woofers because you just dont cheap out on your center channel, except for the highs, I used the bose satillite speakers I had and they hold up very nicely. Once I compared ML with Klipsch.... Martin Logan's are so detailed in their sound definition.... wow! it was a done deal! Also added 2 SVS 1000 series subs and wow! I went from a 5.1 to 5.2.4. I treated the walls with some absorption, not a lot. I also added the Nvidia Shield and what a game changer. I added a keyboard and mouse and am able to play my one and only fave game "Hitman". The Dolby Vision in this thing is so noticeable! It is so immersive, its overwhelming! Went over budget but it is so worth it. Today I get to add the seat rocker I ordered, 300 watts.

Fronts could use more separation. For home theater you should have a minimum of 7 ft separation but ideally the same distance from the screen to your MLP. You should also have your towers a minimum of 1 ft away from any surface such as the back wall, TV stand etc, speakers need breathing room and it makes a big difference in sound quality. Also your subwoofer placement probably isn't ideal as up front next to the towers is typically not where you'll get the best room response even though it looks the best. I'm sure you're familiar with the subwoofer crawl method, I would definitely recommend that. Also you should have some feet on your center, it looks like you just have it sitting on the glass shelf which is a terrible idea. It needs to be isolated from the surface. Nice setup though.
@StevetheTechBro4 ай бұрын
Thanks for all of your recommendations. I’ll be sure to correct them all once I get my home when I have the space to do all of those things
@armylrs23914 ай бұрын
@@StevetheTechBro No problem! Just search "subwoofer crawl method". Essentially what you do is put your subwoofer on your sofa where you usually sit when you watch movies. Then you KZbin "bass sweep test" and play the sweep while you crawl around with your head at the level that your subwoofer is at when it sits on the ground. I don't actually crawl around, I just play the sweep with my head at floor level in all of the various places that I could put the subwoofer. Wherever the bass sounds the best while you do this is where you want to put your subwoofer. It will make a gigantic difference-You're going to be blown away! Let me know how it works out for you.

@@StevetheTechBro OK thanks, here in the UK most floors are wooden, so you can imaging the disturbance just one subwoofer would do, hence when I bought my new place I insisted that it must have concrete floors, I have not set up my 3 x 12" Klipsch subwoofers in my proposed 7 . 2.3 Klipsch Atmos set up, but your tip about asking the neighbours if they can hear is brilliant, that way I know what levels to set the volume for day and night time use. Home theatre in a small apartment with neighbours to consider? Priority One communication is key! Explain to your neighbours that you have a home cinema setup, but you also happen to be a considerate person. Therefore, may I make a suggestion of exchanging phone numbers so that if the audio ever happens to become a little more than noticeable, you'll be able to give me a heads up! After all, not only will it show good intentions, but if push comes to shove, it may just help avoid an awkward situation .It seemed to work for me. In fact, my lovely neighbour now texts me if she happens to be going for the evening. Tip number one... purchase smaller driving subwoofers and, if possible (maybe at a later date) try to go stereo on them, meaning purchase another one of the exact same make and model. Having a more evened out bass will be less temptation to after turn up the gain! Tip number 2.. turn the subwoofers off when playing music. Repetitive beats with music are very annoying for neighbours and that even at low volumes! Tip number 3.. try to isolate the subwoofer(s) from the floor. Don't bother with cheap Amazon isolation pads. A ceramic tile placed on top of a 2 inch thick high density foam (sprayed black) does the job so much better and cheaper. Hope this helps. Good luck and enjoy
