It was a great trail! Better than last year I reckon. Annoyingly though I missed the last bit of the trail, after the gravel track at 34:29, so missed a bit of grass turns,but overall i loved it! Much bigger variety of terrain then in 2022.

Thanks that dead slow guy was me 😂 and i wasnt last!! For me its not about coming first or last but taking part..got into off road quite late in life and its awesome but takes time to get used to sliding around and build confidence and pace. All round awesome fun, great vibe but recommend some training before jumping straight in. Also ride at your own pace and keep off the racing line (as I did shortly after) to let the faster boys through and showing respect is important. I wouldn't want to be held up by a slow rider either. Great event and video. Cheers.

Wow, this has to be one of, if not my favorite video of all time! My three favorite bikes riding through the alps. My last bike was a tiger 800 XC and my current bike is an mt09(fj09 American). I’m thinking my future bike is the Africa twin but I think I’ll wait 1 or 2 years and enjoy my fj for now. Great video, thanks!
@wojtek21944 жыл бұрын
May I ask why did you switch to mt09 ?? I am considering between tiger 800 and tracer 900.
@tatmandu17224 жыл бұрын
Wojtek I absolutely loved my tiger but my bank made me sell it so I could buy my house. That was 4 years ago and a bike between. I found a brand new fj leftover 17 and always liked the look so I jumped on it. You really can’t go wrong with either but you don’t want to off-road the fj(mt09). Just thinking about it right now, I don’t think I could pick a favorite.

@timmy38227 жыл бұрын
Awesome vid man, I'm in France atm on my Tracer but this makes me want to pack my stuff and head south right away lol. Haven't been to Swiss alps in nearly 10 years so it's about time I did it again did Austria last year. Does your mate on the Tracer have any issues with his low speed fuelling? Mines got a really subtle but super annoying "chugging" sensation. Thinking of switching to a Tiger 800 XRx for the longer trips.
@kingsfpa7 жыл бұрын
No he hasn't had a single problem with his in the two years he's owned it. Just come back from this years trip. Vid to follow. I used to have the tiger 800 before the Africa twin. Best bike out there. buy one. you won't regret it.
@timmy38227 жыл бұрын
Paul Kingsford Yeah the more I look at it the more I want it. In an ideal world I'd get the 1200 Explorer but that's a wee bit more cash than I can afford. Torn between swapping out the Tracer for the Tiger next year when the PCP on it runs out or just paying it off and getting a car instead my old Mazdas getting on now. Ugh #firstworldproblems :(.
@kingsfpa7 жыл бұрын
don't get the 1200. I had one before. too big and heavy. the 800 is a much better bike. I have another video of my trip on the 1200.
@timmy38227 жыл бұрын
Paul Kingsford I did get that feeling when I sat on it but wondered if it would actually feel that heavy once you get going. The 800 is much more affordable anyhow especially when you consider the extra kit for touring. You use the Triumph steel panniers or third party on yours? They are pricey but look bullet proof.

Try a throttle body sync on your Tracer or get the ECU flashed. Stock fueling is rubbish

Love your video mate! Would do just about anything for a chance at the 'Ring. I think that the Tiger 800 is the best "Do it all bike" available - by a huge margin. I am a notorious bike swapper (8 NEW bikes in 6 years), but I've had my T800 (Roadie-not XC) for over two years now and have zero intention of giving her up! They can do ANYTHING, and do it all so very, very well.
