Great read! Glad you were able to reconnect with that soldier after all those years. I bet he has a few more stories like these to tell.

This guy wrote the history of LBJ but left out the stolen election murders behind the fix. And left out the murder of Henry marshal to protect LBJ connection to Billie sol Estes.

Fascinating discussion on language, authenticity and translation. I have always been disappointed that this conference was sold out so I couldn't attend in person. So this video is a great gift to me. Thank you.

Lionel Shriver is wonderful because she's normal. She's authentic, full of common sense and points out obvious contradictions. She's very enjoyable to listen to.

I have an anecdote involving Valerie Martin. Years ago I attended a college where she was a professor who was just starting to publish fiction. Although I was never in any of her classes, I would cross paths with her between courses. And while I considered her attractive, she also struck me as having such a serious demeanor, always so focused and stern. For some reason I wanted to see if I could lighten her mood, so I jotted down a brief note; in it, I stated that I thought she was beautiful, and I was willing to "live in her pocket" if she would smile for me. I carried the note around for a couple of days until I found the right moment. That came one day when she wore a loose blazer with gaping pockets. In between classes I positioned myself behind her and discreetly slipped the note into her pocket without her feeling it. I caught her reaction when she went to the cafeteria for lunch...her mouth dropped upon reading the words, but then she laughed and looked around. I caught her eye and winked at her. She waved and held up the letter before returning the note to her pocket with a smile. She, indeed, had a sense of humor after all!
